Olive
Zhang yimou's Homecoming is scheduled on May 16th. So Godzilla and DOFP won't have day and date openings.

A Marvel Fanboy
TWS ? I am one hundred percent sure that it will do significant more than TDW ($55m). Think $75~80m big. For release dates for DOFP or Godzilla (or some other summer Hollywood big movies), the best guess for now is 6.5~6.20 or after late July (or some others). Sam
It's pretty ironic that a movie called Captain America 2 (no subtitles, no changing names) got one of the better release dates from the Chinese government.I'm not complaining though. BTW, what holiday is it on April 4th? Or is it April 3rd that's the holiday?

Cap1 and Thor1 were released by Par, thus they had shit release dates.
A Marvel Fanboy
Yeah, holiday opening is no joke. I can see $30m+ OW. It is Tomb Sweeping (清明, Qing Ming) holiday, which runs Apr 5~7th this year. Cap 2 opens Apr 4th. It is clear that (if not dont count co-productions) now Disney movies get much better release dates than other Hollywood studios, exact reasons as Olive points. A daily breakdown for TWS is probably too early atm, but whatever: 4th --- 50m 5th --- 85m 6th --- 80m -------- 210m $35 OW 7th --- 65m 8th --- 30m 9th --- 28m 10th --- 23m 11th --- 20m 12th --- 35m 13th --- 30m -------- 440m after 10 days --------- 80m 3rd week --------- 545m finish $89. Donald
Why is it that other threads have cool title changes and this one doesnt?!!:@
A Marvel Fanboy
Because that's the way to stand out from all the threads ... I am surprised that NFS actually increases on Friday despite 40% show cut and the opening of Fighting. Its domestic daily gross has dropped into the sub $1m range but in China it still stays in the $3m on sencond Friday (and $5m+ on 2nd Sat).
