INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR is now the biggest movie of the year. This is totally unexpected. The 6M figure is from Deadline's update btw.

We now have TEN one million dollar movies. BARBIE and OPPENHEIMER will add to that. BARBIE could challenge THE RED DOOR for the top spot this year, imo.

With numerous good reviews, I feel like Oppenheimer had approx P70-80M over the last 5 days. Saw it yesterday, it was a reel deal. Wish the movie had subtitles though, but the sound / musical scoring is the best for any movie I've seen.

Been reading good reviews also about Barbie. I feel like the movie earned P250M after 5 days.

Let's wait tomorrow night, probably WB will release the initial numbers.

The Margot Robbie-Ryan Gosling starrer "Barbie" now holds the local record for the biggest Warner Bros. opening weekend for the year and during the COVID era, and the biggest opening weekend locally for director Gerwig and Gosling, who plays Ken.

I am waiting for Numbers

Thanks for this, very interesting! Surprised that there are no Ayala Malls cinemas in the top 20 (the other major theater operator in the PH), must've been the WB-SM mascot/midnight screening promos.

I noticed Ayala Malls Numbers for Cebu for only OD was reported -

OD - P33,141,456

The Top 20 cinemas and their day one grosses: SM North EDSA (P1.92 million), SM Megamall (P1.86 million), SM Dasmariñas (P894,000), SM Fairview (P781,000), SM Clark (P748,000), SM Davao (P705,000), SM Marikina (P616,000), SM Seaside Cebu (P600,000), Fishermall (P590,000), SM Iloilo (P583,000), SM Mall of Asia (P503,000), SM Grand Central (P484,000), SM Baguio (P435,000), SM CDO Downtown Premier (P377,000), Vista Mall Sta. I got lower number for Philippines for Barbie - contrary to Sophie Figures. BOM hasn't updated but if any one need the source. Just DM me.

This is probably just OD number.

This was BOR update until SUN. You have ₱‎317M which will roughly place it at $5.8M. Above Argentina ($4.4M). Warner Bros won't make a huge mistake (wonder why would they be doing) - at the same time, Columbia Picture Philippines, Distributor of "Insidious: The Red Door" should remove their header of Biggest Film of the Year by now from Facebook Page

Try contacting with Olive. He might help to clear the confusion. Because I am confused here too :(
