I swear I never understood this game O.o

 

So, let me get this straight (since the How to Play thread wasn't very detailed). You invest in a movie (so if you invest 100% it's 100% of it's budget... I got that) but what does the Opening Weekend do...? I mean how does it help you to get your money back.

So, let me get this straight (since the How to Play thread wasn't very detailed). You invest in a movie (so if you invest 100% it's 100% of it's budget... I got that) but what does the Opening Weekend do...? I mean how does it help you to get your money back.

If you invest 100%, you will get 100% of the box office results of that movie.

 

For example, if you invest 100% in Oz and that movies does 250M, you will receive 250M in your bank account (a profit of 50M, since you spent 200M to buy it).

50% in Burt Wonderstone.

 

55m invested.

Burt Wonderstone will only become available on February 15.

 

(I know, I made a mistake and I have putted all movies in Available Now, but if I look at the column in the left, you will see when each movie becomes available).

Total invested: 60M

 

I hope OZ doesn't fail.

 

 

 

Investment rules say:

 

Players can choose to only invest in part or all of a films budget.Players can invest in 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%of the budget.

 

 

Are we allowed to take 5%, 15%, 25%, etc of a movie?

You can't buy 5, 15, 25, etc. Players can invest in 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100% of the budget.

 

Please choose between 20 or 30% of Oz.

That was the intention :D, although technically wouldn't zero people in the the whole of North America have to see this film for me to actually be going home?

For you to have a profit, the movie has to do at least 200M.

 

If you go bankrupcy, you can ask for a loan to buy more movies, and you will have a limited time to pay the loan back.

That by the end of it's run, right? Or by the end of the month?
