whoot
It's way ahead of WALL-E at this point but could conceivably fall behind enough in the dailies soon to end at around the same number. This is when WALL-E started pulling off its strong holds. If Brave starts to falter like Mad 3 did though, it should be a close one between Brave and WALL-E. Mayhem2x3
I was wrong about SM hurting it, but we'll see what TDKR does to everything this weekend, maybe. Looks like it could very well pass Mad3 by the end of the weekend.
kayumanggi
Congrats to Brave. It crossed $200M (201.1M). The 10th Pixar film to do so.
whoot
Too lazy to go through all the massive threads this weekend. What's the estimate for Brave this Friday and weekend?
Mayhem2x3
6.5 mil as I recall. Probably passes Mad3.
whoot
Better than WALL-E, worse than Mad 3 on the same weekend... Looks like $235m is going to be the ceiling for this.
Rudolf
looks like Brave will open in Japan under all Pixar since Cars1(2006)

DAR
So right under Cars then, all right.
John Marston
too much competition Cars 2 had more competition last year (opened on the same day as Transformers 3 and just two weeks after Harry Potter). It kind of is a bad opening for Brave if true
Gopher
Seems headed for 225m. On par with WALL-E despite a slightly bigger opening and a overall inflation. If you ask me, I don't think this had much word of mouth. Not to say that people didn't like it, but much like WALL-E nothing was ever impressive about its daily or weekly holds to me. Didn't play much like a Pixar movie. Very curious to see what MU does next summer. Doesn't it open two weeks before the Despicable Me sequel? That could sting. whoot
$5.7 WEEKEND?? That's almost a million less than WALL-E at this point!! Madagascar 3 was $2 million ahead at this point! The sky!! 'tis FALLINGG!!
AniNate
If it's any consolation, at least its drop would be the best of the family movies this weekend. Edited July 22, 2012 by tribefan695
whoot
Speechless too, tribe? I feel you. Damn, I hate following the box office right now. I know Brave passes Ratatouille this weekend, but I had a helluva lot more fun following Ratatouille than I'm following Brave's run. WTF is happening.
