One of the greatest movies ever made. It really gets you to understand Travolta's character. You get a sense of what dancing means to him and the tough environment he's grown up in. You also see the monstrous side of him: how he treats women, and can sometimes take out his anger on them. And Travolta's performance is just brilliant!4/4

A secretly great movie. For a while I, like many people, had the impression that it wasn't anything more than a cheesy outdated disco melodrama, so when I finally saw it, I was kinda shocked - both by how tough and gritty it was, and by how good it was.

This movie is a bee's knees. Travolta's friends drive past him and expect him to walk 50 feet to the car, nope. He sits there and waits for them to revose back to him, thats visual story telling. Bad ass
