wileECoyote
Damn Oz went down. Getting ZDT tomorrow from iTunes, so how much longer will it be out in theaters? WIR still seems to be making some change even after release almost two weeks ago
Jack Nevada
Hmmm, so Quartet has made 14M in US alone? Old people are such an underused demographic.
Dementeleus
Hmmm, so Quartet has made 14M in US alone? Old people are such an underused demographic. They have the money and the time to go to theaters... and unlike millenials, they're much less likely to want to watch a movie on demand or through a streaming/gaming service. Targeting the senior demographic isn't a bad move at all.

Amour wasn't as big of a hit because it seems that old people like a more jolly, pleasant fare like Quartet

forg
And Quarter had no Awards buzz at all and The Impossible is just 4 million ahead of it. I dunno Summit/Lionsgate just can't handle their "Oscar" movies that well. Anyway, Safe Haven did well in line with most Sparks movies. Escape from Planet Earth as well, it had a light drop. Kids are starved with animation so I really think The Croods should do well. Oh Burt Wonderstone had a small budget, too bad it still won't be profitable SLP will be the last one standing in the box office among the Oscar nominees. Once again let's give the Weinsteins credit with their release strategy. It was a brilliant strategy. Life of Pi finally exceeded its budget in DOM, I know it's not a big deal anymore because of how huge it earned overseas but I'm just glad it surpassed the budget DOM. It's just so amazing how this movie beat the odds
