Something interesting that kind of got lost in the mix with the Kang Majors drama: the rumor that Marvels doing a Brotherhood movie. I think it's a very, very good idea and I hope it's true. Magneto and the Brotherhood have been in several movies as the villains, so just going straight back to that well wouldn't feel fresh. A movie where the Brotherhood is out and out the protagonist, potentially without the X-Men involved at all? That'd make the conflict between Magneto and Xavier much more fresh after the very very rehashed arguments from the previous movies.

I don't think cancelling the movie was ever something that was ever going to happen. Idk why people act like replacing Yeun is an impossible feat, Marvels recast actors who've dropped out before.

Top billing? He's not the main lead. They never even officially announced Sentry as the character he was playing. Top billing is almost certainly Florence Pugh. Now you're just making things up whole cloth.

Nah, you can't spin this. The actor made a very specific statement that the delays in production caused him to leave, that he apologized to the production for making the decision to leave, that he still wants to work with Marvel in the future, and that Schreir is going to nail it. That doesn't fit the incessant claims from some here that there's "an exodus coming from Marvel" and "he's getting off a sinking ship". You ate it on this one.

How so? The X-Men still being able to bring in box office will be pretty good considering theyre doing a full on X-Men movie. I think we'll get a Mutant Saga before they even consider a hard reboot.

No, it doesn't. One actor having a schedule conflict does not mean the films cancelled, nor does it mean there will be a mass exodus of actors from Marvel. That's not a thing that happens.

Are people just making shit up now? There isn't some secret reason why he dropped out: the new filming schedule conflicts with his. Why is that so implausible to you guys? Christ. Not everything is secretly a conspiracy.

I really don't think that's the issue, especially since Yeun said he was in the movie publicly already (though he didn't say who). It's likely what it's being reported as: the production delays post strike meant that they couldn't work out the new schedule with his.

There's some people speculating this is related to the David Choe stuff...I don't really think so. Yeun isn't the one who made those comments and it wouldn't have affected Thunderbolts in any way. Plus they kept all the other people from Beef that got hired to this so if they're fine idk why Yeun would be impacted by that.

You think that's more likely than losing a full year of production may have caused a scheduling issue? I don't think losing Yeun means production is now impossible. Also, this would be the exact opposite of taking the money and running. He doesn't get paid for not appearing in the movie.
