  1. The reshoots are happening. There is no evidence of it costing 150 million or being 2/3rds of the movie like you're claiming. All your arguments rely on things that have absolutely zero connection to actual box office performance. Captain Marvel didn't appear every year after her movie came out, so it was doomed, but nobody's saying Deadpool 3 is doomed because Jackman and Reynolds didn't regularly come back, especially since they were gone longer than Captain Marvel was. Your arguments are just bad.
  2. Completely made up. There is no source on this. All the credible reports say they're reshooting action scenes, not the entire movie. And again, we got to keep the discussion of The Marvels to the fucking Marvels thread, because we cannot keep repeating the same two arguments at the same time in separate threads.
  3. Well yeah, but there's clearly not been a bigger opportunity for Japanese Godzilla films stateside.
  4. Idk when they'll actually decide internally but I don't think we'll actually hear anything in any official capacity till the trial ends.
  5. ...how? Marvels clearly waiting on the outcome of the trial but going "why on earth would he turn these texts over" is ridiculous. He legally cannot refuse to turn over the texts if they're relevant to the case.
  6. What's for sure is the next Japanese Godzilla movie is going to get a substantially bigger release. Probably not a full wide release but definitely a much less limited run
  7. ...several of these are either made by Disney or are on a Disney platform
  8. Well it'll have a Red Band trailer, so it'll likely either not be tied to a specific movie or it'll be an R rated one. My guess is we get the super bowl spot with the "Red band trailer online now" bit
  9. Echo getting lots of solid reactions. Lots of comparisons to Daredevil (naturally)
  10. It's more to make up for not getting released in the first place rather than for an actual serious run
  11. It's mostly wound up being "best CGI" but yes special effects and other effects are included, which is why animated films are also allowed, albeit rare. But yeah this is voted on by the VFX Committee, so Nolan downplaying VFX involvement in the movie may not have helped him here. Lots of awards predicting sites had Oppenheimer to win outright actually
  12. Levy's talked about how he wants as much as practical as possible. Obviously stuff like Colossus is still CGI but yeah, the downside to filming outside scenes actually outside: everyone else is outside too
  13. So is Netflixs weird gaming thing actually successful? I never saw the appeal tbh.
  14. I don't think anyone's expecting these to do big. And I get that these are Pixar but I kind of wish Raya got this as well
  15. Yeah Reynolds not returning was never happening. He's a co producer of the movie. Hell a big reason they picked Levy is because he and Reynolds work so well together.
  16. I don't think people are ready for the insane promotion Maximum Effort is going to be doing for this.
  17. ...they're rereleases of movies that have been out for years. What legs did you expect them to have?
  18. Honestly theres nothing clearly worse than the last one, though that was also true of Shazam 2 and the problems just weren't clear till the final movie.
  19. ...how on earth is it too implausible to be someone with a camera? Set photos are not an unheard of thing. Nearly all Marvel productions have had them. One of Iron Man's even made it into the final movie! I know you're one of the residents marvel antis but not everything that happens is a conspiracy
  20. True, but he's such a fun character and also coming right off an Oscar, it makes sense he gets more shine. The real surprise is DiMartino since...well she isn't bad but she's a much more major part of the first season than the second imo
  21. Loki just picked up four major Critics Choice nominations, Drama, Actor (Hiddleston), Supporting Actress (Sophia DiMartino), and Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan). Obviously early to say since it's not part of the current Emmy cycle, but it's a positive sign for awards chances next cycle
