    That brings us back: I would prefer the celtic warriors to look like humans. In TinTin Spielberg wanted to make his characters look like the original figures of the comic. It was not so successful in the US. (In Germany they made a live action movie with characters looking very much like the characters of a series of animated movies in the 70s: Wickie.and it was very successful)

    I answered with AVATAR beeing replied with the Na'vi are not humans That is one reason for making an animated movie in stead of live action: James Cameron could not convince any Na'vi to star in his movie. During a movie with a lot of CGI the boundaries between animated movie and live action become swimming. In an animated movie you can make the characters do things that are almost impossible or too dangerous to try.

    The first 10 minutes of UP are the best that have ever been produced. The speaking dogs are jus tsilly IMHO.

    I agree. Yesterday AustrianTV brought Ratatouille. It was even better than I remembered.

    I was hoping after TinTin that there was a market for adult-oriented aniation. When I was a teenager I read a lot of celtic fiction with warrior princesses and horse godesses in it. I especially liked the cover art of these books. Seeing the first pictures of Brave was excited for it.

    Why did Pixar opt for having the characters look like caricature puppets? Ist that so funny and appealing to kids? I understand that trying to make them look life like will result in Mars Needs Moms problems, but why not going for something more human-looking?

    If AVATAR2 makes 150 OW, everbody will speak about a big disappointment.

    Well it seems Titanic had a bigger increase than The Last Song(2010) 94%>68% but absolutely it is still smaller 7.1<7.2

    I totally agree!Just imagine it would make 200/400, we would drown in 3D re-release for years to come.Still I prefer re-releases to remakes and reboots. I hate it when they tamper with the original story.
