  1. Snooze fest, this film is just plain boring. Only good thing in the entire film is Blanchett performance. Overall a D
  2. So with 2013 over I'am interested to see everyone's top 10 list for the year. A year is a fairly long time so you might of forgotten some of the earlier releases in the year. This link will take you back to the January 2013 release schedule to refresh your memory. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/schedule/?view=&release=&date=2013-01-04&showweeks=4&p=.htm 1. Gravity (A+) 2. Saving Mr Banks (A+) 3. Captain Phillips (A) 4. Frozen (A-) 5. Desolation of Smaug (A-) 6. Rush (B+) 7. Secret Life of Walter Mitty (B+) 8. 12 Years a Slave (B+) 9. Wolf of Wall Street (B+) 10. Star Trek Into Darkness (B ) Films yet to see that could break into this. Blue Jasmine, Her, Before Midnight and a few others. These are the films I enjoyed the most, and I'am looking forward to seeing yours.
  3. Did not think I would like this at all, boy have I ever been so wrong. Such a delightful film where I cannot find a fault. A+
  4. Every year there's a handful of films like American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave, they don't bring anything really new to the movies. They are still great films but critics will always eat up well executed history movies. Gravity however is quite ground breaking in what it managed to achieve and gives an unique amazing experience. That is why it deserves the best picture this year. Also American Hustle does not really have a chance when 12 Years a Slave is by far the better of history films this year. Its either going to be Gravity or 12 Years a Slave. I'am hoping for Gravity because simple put Gravity on the silver screen is escapism at its finest.
  5. After now watching the big three of this year (Gravity, American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave) Gravity is best film of the year and an amazing cinema experience. This should take a number of Oscars in particular best director, visual effects and cinematography
  6. Such an emotional film, though not the as perfect as everyone is raving about. B+
  7. Those drops are absolutely horrendous, Its been an extremely long time since I'v seen such a thing.
  8. If we just accept one simple fact it makes sense, the Japanese are a weird bunch.
  9. Enjoyable film, my mates both really enjoyed it. While it does have it flaws its nice to just watch a good film which doesn't take itself to seriously. 7.5/10
  10. Yeah just read that, interesting. We will find out definitively by Monday drops.
  11. I think the storms badly affected this weekend for all movies. Monday drops should tell us if this weekend was effected by the bad weather.
  12. Yeah, I dont trust Nikki to extrapolate weekend numbers. I would prefer to see the Saturday estimates.
  13. Frozen, increase would not be much better than DoS. 6.8m 8.9m (?) +30% 5.3m (?) -40% Possible muted weekends thanks to bad weather?
  14. From that I get DoS 5.1m 6.6m (?) 29% 4.3m (?) -35% Good number for Frozen, much better number than I expected for PA:MO
  15. I wonder how many people have actually seen frozen, their seems to be a lot of repeat viewings!
  16. Does that number already include Friday, or is it up to thursday
