  1. I just cant see this being as frontloaded as a comic book films, which your projection basically is a 1:1 TFSS of Batman 2022.
  2. Very reasonable projection 17 Thur 43 Friday 53 Saturday 44 Sunday 157m Honestly looks like it could be close to Box Office Pros prediction
  3. Batman was 2h.56m. Not a huge difference. They will have almost the same amount of showings.
  4. If Batman can make 137m of 17m Thursday then Avatar 2 should be hitting 150m+. Its Saturday and Sunday should be much stronger and less frontloaded. Not seeing where the 130-140m projections come from.
  5. Midnight screening for a movie this length. Wow. I wouldnt do that for even my favorite franchises.
  6. My understanding is that if enough people love a film it can pull out a win. That is why films that end in low 70's in RT can still get in nomination and win even against much better scores. Enough people gushing about it that it could be in with a small chance. But yeah unlikely. Maybe Avatar 4 which is hinted at having the strongest story.
  7. Wouldnt worry about the early score. Will be entirely unreliable. Every popular movie/franchise gets review bombed a lot early these days but weight of votes tend to drown them out later.
  8. Seeing this tomorrow night, and again in next Tuesday. Be the first time I've seen a movie twice in cinema in maybe 5 years. Certain level of excitement for a film that I have not had in a long while.
  9. Given most of these are core critics, which usually are harsher, those are pretty solid reactions. Had to look up the first one and that only got 82% on RT. This looks like it will at match that rating if not surpass it. Looking good so far. Based on what I've read. Its high fantasy escapism with state of the art visuals and a generally stronger story then the first. Will look to book my tickets opening weekend now that I know its good.
  10. Just looked at the months of December and January. Damn, they seem utterly devoid of competition. Excellent news for Avatar.
  11. Wow, didn't expect such an excellent trailer from Ant-Man. Looks much larger scale, so to speak, then previous entries.
  12. Where as I feel the opposite. Movies rarely move and capture me these days because of their short run times. You can build something more comprehensive and rewarding in TV show.
  13. 3 hours in a 3D immersive world. Sounds awesome. Definitely gets me hyped more. Doesn't seem bad at all since first one was 2:40 and was paced fine
  14. 7.0 average rating suggests its % more likely to go up then down on RT Mom had a 6.5 average with 78%
  15. Personally I think 2h:15m is ideal for these kind of movies, enough time for bonds and connections to form without feeling overlong. Under two hours it starts to feel rushed.
  16. Nice to see box office is well and truly back this summer! Keep on giving TG2!
  17. Massive Avatar fan. Think I saw the first one in cinema about 5 times, 3 of which in IMAX 3D. Was slightly underwhelmed with the first teaser even saying to my partner I thought it was fake video first time I watched it. No doubt it will look amazing in 4k HFR 3d but do hope the next one is better but on a 1080p screen at home it looked fine I guess.
  18. Hey everyone! Wonder if anyone remembers me. Been 3 years since my last post. The social reactions for this seem to some of strongest I have seen in a while. Very interested to see its reception. Grace Randolph says reviews up on 9am EST Thursday/today.
  19. Movie was gripping from start to finish mainly because it keeps shifting the finish line every half hour so its very hard to predict. Probably most entertaining movie iv seen in a good while. Quite original
  20. Oooph. Maybe 240m more from domestic in the tank. 850-900m
  21. They are playing good asgard bad asgard, trying to break us
