  1. I enjoyed it. Some of the casting reflected Hollywood sensibilities but it wasn’t too distracting. Tom Cruise is as great as he was in the first film. The action was literally edge-of-the-seat for me, both in the training exercises and the main mission. There were some tear jerking moments as well. It has everything! The last 30 minutes of the film propelled it above the original.

DAMN!  20 years buddy.  We were one of the originals.  Glad to have gone on this journey with you and looking forward to 20 more.

Same brother. Here’s looking to 20 years more!  Yes, one of the originals. I do wish we had a deep dive history of the forum(s). Maybe have 5 or 6 of the 2002-2003 regulars contributing to it. I thought I saw a post written by you along those lines.

  3. @baumer I believe June 2002 was when the BOT forums started and we met. It's almost 20 yrs!

We are still going strong. I mostly lurk but post once in awhile nowadays (I am also part owner of the WOKJ boxoffice movie forums). We are still in the game!

It's been a great 20 years. Posting side by side with you, predicting movie grosses from Spiderman 2 to MBFGW to Avatar.

    Here's to 20 more!

But if it's a private place you follow rules or don't go.

I personally don't go to one theater as they force masks and passes which I find security theater these days. But I don't go there and protest or cause issue.

Idk find mask issue is more about virtue signaling these days then about wear proper masks and such.

I usually wouldn't go to an establishment that required masking but as soon as I can, while inside the establishment, I'll take it off.

I think it was best he apologized so people can see his just a pretty whatever chill guy then some alt right super villian that legacy media makes him out to be.

People need to remember that legacy media has a bias against certain platforms as they are competition.

Who are ‘people’? Liberals? In the end, you may be right, my friend.

CNN tried hard to take down Joe Rogan but he responded back with a good apology and a lot of Hollywood heavy hitters seem to back him still.

Maybe all this publicity will draw more people to him instead XD

He didn’t need to apologize imo. Love that, finally, the anti-woke crowd got a win (he is still on the platform). His audience is going to grow.

  7. I kept asking myself what is this movie about? What’s the end goal here (beyond reuniting Trinity and Neo)? What’s at stake? It felt very much like a stage setter for a trilogy. The film had little weight on its own. Also, the script relied too heavily on the mythos and grandeur of the original. Not to mention the greatest hits cameos, flashbacks, and slow-mo action scenes. It was way too meta (even controlling for the fact they purposely went meta). The first trilogy was used as a crutch time and time again. Unfortunately most Wachowski movies are subpar. They hit paydirt with The Matrix. I’m not optimistic about the sequels. I give it a B- but I’ll give it another chance after rewatching the earlier films.
