Animation had a great comeback this year after last year's lackluster performance so it will be a shame if ROTG will struggle. But maybe it will start slow and have legs like Polar Express it has no major competition for the family audience in December

Wimpy Kid 3 is still alive! This one had decent legs and almost matched its predecessor despite a much lower OW.

I don't think so, I don't think it could earn 4 million more since it will have competition already this week so it will shed a lot screens but it can probably beat The Mistress for #3. Imagine if this was in 3D it would be easily at #2

It will be playing on IMAX during the MMFF though. And the week it opens, it will be all by itself. Mission Impossible did great last year despite getting its run cut off so I'm sure Hobbit will do fine

If was only this year that they didn't had performances but they always had performances. I think they will bring back the performances next year especially if Adele and Mumford & Sons songs will be nominated since those two are big album sellers right now and could bring in the ratings
