Yeah with Disney+ coming with a bunch of MCU and Star Wars huge budgeted shows, Amazon spending a gazillion $$ on a LOTR show (among other things) and Netflix continuing to expand worldwide (with actual worldwide content) , the collapse is just around the corner. The truth is that the streaming domination hasn’t even properly begun yet. Oh and the streaming services are actually the biggest reason that piracy is DECREASING. I mean you need what to have Netflix and amazon and Disney+ , less than 30$ per month for tons of content.

Well I am willing to bet that the GA will disagree with you and that will be shown at the box office. HC was competent and serviceable, BvS was horrible.

The way you describe it, it seems like a breeze. 170 million more after an 105 million weekend seems quite easy, even with competition (and the first true competition for it overseas is the Aladdin film not John Wick because John Wick films are extremely weak overseas).

Just the realistic depiction of pre-Castro Cuba and the plans that Americans had for it, to make Havana a giant bordello, makes Godfather 2 the better film.

IW is simply better. EG is way different to what I imagined it to be and please no more box office comparisons to prove that EG is better. The fact that EG did so good out of the gate is BECAUSE IW was so good. (like a matrix->matrix reloaded situation just on a much bigger scale). IW was a comic book fan’s dream come true, the fact that EG might have satisfied the critics more was actually worrisome to me before I even watched it.

How does a 360 million worldwide gross for a movie with an 100 million production budget+i would assume a decent marketing budget ensures great returns ?

I think that this particular videogame franchise just isn’t suited for movies.(neither are stuff like sonic btw)

You are correct but don’t try to fight the mob here, you will lose. Matrix reloaded did MUCH better than matrix, the POTC sequels did better than the first film e.t.c that doesn’t mean that they were superior films.
