Well I think Dragon 2 might still make DW money, just not enough to save their company from their last three flops in three years.And Penguins and Home doesn't really look like smash hits in the making. Although we'll see.

I just think that with Maleficent still doing great while Dragon underwhelms, it just goes to show how huge is the Disney brand for families.

That's a great hold for Maleficent. Hope that number sticks when actuals come on.

Even if Dragon2 opens below expectations, i'm pretty sure it'll do fine with great legs. Heck, the first Dragon's 40+ opening was thought to be underwhelming until it showed incredible legs. i'm not saying that those legs will once more be reached, but Dragon2 will just be fine.

Wow at that Variety article. Made me more excited that I could ever be. That fact that it's an emotion-filled short should make it a better experience.

I LOVE EMMA STONE. I've always seen her pics across the web and never cared for her. Then I saw Spider-man and liked her. Then saw a revlon ad of her and she's goddamn beautiful. Then Easy A and she was oh so glorious. I wish she was given more exposure in Crazy, Stupid, Love. And she was good in Zombieland. She's my ultimate crush. Why did I just saw this thread?!

The thing is that I went to Godzilla expecting some highly entertaining action fights and intense scenes that I will be hooked and be thoroughly engaged.Little did I know that all those greatness can only be found in this movie called Edge of Tomorrow.

Oh please, Godzilla was more boring than Maleficent. Atleast Jolie brought the role magnificently that you care what is happening whenever she is onscreen. But other things were pretty meh. With Godzilla, not a single emotion of mine was triggered by the ugly acting and boring scenes.

38M??? I doubt Maleficent will have that weekend even wih that very strong friday number. I'd say 35M at best.

I really hope it crosses 30M OW and goes on to pass 100M dom with the great WOM. Hard for it to happen though.

I doubt they'd use the Marvel brand in some form of advertising This is way beyond the MCU, and the only connection it has to Marvel is that it came from a Marvel comics. Disney is doing it in pure disney style and pure disney production and control, with just some consultations from those at Marvel to make sure they're doing it right.I'm wondering, can this be the real Avengers for kids, and not some underperforming work from DW back then?
