  1. Looking at 23.9 million as per Deadline, -36% the worst hold yet for the movie.
  2. Not Zootopia having its worst hold yet despite being easter weekend because of BvS. Damn you BvS! I'm with the critics!!
  3. Was looking through BOM and damn this basically fell down the moment KFP3 opened in a lot of markets (Italy, Mexico, Spain among others). Hopefully easter will give this film some boost back up again. And I think I read there were some rallies or something at Brazil that's taking the attention away from cinemas.
  4. South Korea has been really good to Zootopia! Hopefully it isn't killed by BvS this weekend.
  5. Exactly what I'm thinking. I have no doubts BvS will open MASSIVE. Anticipation is sky high. But legs might be cut off due to the ugly critical reception.
  6. Urgh BvS better not trample Zootopia very sexy legs next week. Like damnit Batman make way for Judy Hopps!
  7. ZOOTOPIA just got the highest 3rd weekend for an animated movie. YASSSSS CELEBRATE
  8. Yes yes!!! Tom Hanks is like the biggest box office draw during his peak. Like, I don't think anyone can top his one of a kind success.
  9. Indeed. Mockingjay declined because they're releasing it every year, hence making the public tired of the franchise. Whereas with Harry Potter, it managed to sustain interest since they were not releasing a film every year. There were some two year gaps, which was perfect for the public to miss Potter and get hyped again for another film.
  10. Julia's movies during the 90s translate to what? 200 million today domestic? That's indeed insane to maintain for multiple films. She's clearly a massive box office draw compared to her peers. Sandra Bullock is the closest these days. And I insanely love her versatility.
  11. Why the hell is Deadline, BoxOffice and Box Office Mojo all predicting above 35 million for Zootopia with those Friday numbers?! i just don't seem to get it.
  12. I knew it, no way it touches 40 million. 35 million looks like the ceiling, with 34 million looking as the reasonable estimate. It aint passing 200 million by Sunday. Fudge it Disney!
  13. Lol no deadline, Zoot aint hitting 40 million with that Friday. In Rth I trust.
  14. Let's hope BvS won't have a massive effect on Zootopia. I love unpredictable, breakout hits. Makes the box office more exciting lol.
  15. 40 million for Zootopia?! For real deadline? Rth'a number gives me around 36-39 million, which is already crazy impressive! 40-41 million is MASSIVE.
  16. I believe because we have a new release this wednesday, so they wanna gauge its debut numbers.
  17. Indeed, anywhere from 4.5-4.75 is already great for Zootopia. I expected around 30% drop.
  18. I think it's more on the design in the hollywood animated films. Like, if they ain't cute/kawaii enough they aint going for it by much. And let's be real Inside Out doesn't boast any really cutesy characters.
  19. And here I thought that 50 million weekend estimate for Zootopia was unreasonably high. OH WOW.
  20. Me too. Like alright nothing new with this movie. Even the last trailer I was just alright with it. The sloth trailer and all the movie posters and song title spin offs had me laughing tho. They basically sold the movie to me (along with Disney's name).
