Was looking through BOM and damn this basically fell down the moment KFP3 opened in a lot of markets (Italy, Mexico, Spain among others). Hopefully easter will give this film some boost back up again.
And I think I read there were some rallies or something at Brazil that's taking the attention away from cinemas.
Exactly what I'm thinking. I have no doubts BvS will open MASSIVE. Anticipation is sky high. But legs might be cut off due to the ugly critical reception.
Indeed. Mockingjay declined because they're releasing it every year, hence making the public tired of the franchise.
Whereas with Harry Potter, it managed to sustain interest since they were not releasing a film every year. There were some two year gaps, which was perfect for the public to miss Potter and get hyped again for another film.
Julia's movies during the 90s translate to what? 200 million today domestic? That's indeed insane to maintain for multiple films. She's clearly a massive box office draw compared to her peers.
Sandra Bullock is the closest these days. And I insanely love her versatility.
Why the hell is Deadline, BoxOffice and Box Office Mojo all predicting above 35 million for Zootopia with those Friday numbers?! i just don't seem to get it.
I knew it, no way it touches 40 million.
35 million looks like the ceiling, with 34 million looking as the reasonable estimate. It aint passing 200 million by Sunday.
Fudge it Disney!
I think it's more on the design in the hollywood animated films. Like, if they ain't cute/kawaii enough they aint going for it by much. And let's be real Inside Out doesn't boast any really cutesy characters.
Me too. Like alright nothing new with this movie. Even the last trailer I was just alright with it.
The sloth trailer and all the movie posters and song title spin offs had me laughing tho. They basically sold the movie to me (along with Disney's name).
