If this flops, it's because of the negative buzz around the film and not because of bad reviews.

Wait what? Some think BatB will pull a Cinderella? Really? The problem with Cindy is that everyone already knows the story from start to finish so there's no reason to check it out simply because it's a retelling. BatB, although a widely known classic isn't as universally known as Cinderella. And that cast alone for BatB will make sure it will pull some big $$$$$.

I agree with this. The story is too simple for me tbh. But definitely the movie is gorgeous to look at.

They better damn not touch the iconic THE LION KING and turn into some live-action epic film. The animated film is too great and too perfect that they just can't recreate the greatness of it no matter how hard they try.

Lol Zoo actuallly underperformed in South East Asia, although it was incredibly strong in East Asia. Let's see what Japan can offer. Not to sound insensitive but hopefully its performance in Japan isn't highly affected by the earthquake.

Indeed it is just crazy!! Sub 40% drop despite competition is too much. 330 million is still possible, with outside shot at passing Minions. Disney better make it happen!

Definitely within reach. And let's not forget that this is a family film so Saturday increases can be big, but it's looking to be a four quadrant film so it may not be as high of an increase as it can be.

Let's not forget that all these massive successes can be attributed to the great and highly acclaimed movies they're making. From Star Wars to Zootopia to Jungle Book, the critics adore them very much and they resonanted well with the audience. Audience very much checks RT and that also can be a big influence. Now let's see if the critical acclaim streak continues with Civil War.

Deadline is reporting about the thorough A scores for JB from all audience, and film goers being four quandrant audience. Damn I didn't really think it would be a massively appealing movie!

So about 325 million OS currently, if we exclude China. Solid amount. 370 million OS excluding Japan and China can happen. -

Yeah, Zootopia passing $300 million is a lot clearer, thanks to its strong performance despite BvS arrival. Now passing Minions will all depend on its hold when a direct competition aka The Jungle Book opens in two weeks. Hopefully it still manages to stand tall despite the competition!
