  1. Thanks for that information, I actually had no idea about Umebayashi's music not being original. That will definitely probably affect my original placement of it a bit, even if Galasso's parts are mostly what I love about Mood's score in general.
  2. My just about final list. I tried to be different this time, and mostly stuck to just limiting myself to one score per franchise.
  3. I know, I got just teary-eyed when they showed him last. Great actor, and even greater human-being, his loss is huge.
  4. Whoa I know he had problems, but still 50 is way too young. RIP to the Ruff Ryder!
  5. Congrats to Wolfwalkers, was actually pleasant surprised by its dominating best picture. Thanks to @Ezen Baklattan, and @The Panda for presenting another great BOFFIES!
  6. Funny enough @Wondy, I'm taking a class right now on broadway musical standards, and the teacher has already made a Carmen reference. That'll make this viewing of the film extra special for me.
  7. Whoops! I guess I was lucky enough to get a screener when I did. That's one of the weird eccentricities of being part of a local film festival group, you get to see some interesting Foreign movies.
  8. HOLY SHIT, True North made it into best animated feature. I thought not enough people on here had even seen that movie?!
  9. Damn Tele you are just full of amazing contradictions, ebbs and flows today. Also I noticed that questioned mark. You aren't fooling anyone. 😁
  10. Loved him in Into The Wild and Creepshow, this is very sad. RIP Mr. Holbrook!
  11. Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all had a great day.
  12. Wow, didn't expect Schindler's List to be #1, but it's honestly it's more then deserving. Also I'm super happy that Bridge of Spies made it into the top ten. I feel like a lot of Spielberg's output in the last decade doesn't get as much appreciation as it should. Also great job Eric. Looking forward to the Scorsese countdown next year.
  13. I don't actually hate Rise of Cobra like most. To me it's a perfectly fine sunday afternoon movie, not especially good, but I can put it on the background, and watch all the dumb stuff unfold in the background, as I type on my laptop or something. JGL seems to be among the few actors who really knew the material he was working with, which I actually appreciated. I distinctly remember a lot of complaints at the time on the forums I posted on about him being too "wimpy" and "young" for the role of Cobra, even though the original Cobra Commander was basically a joke by the end of the original series.
  14. Oh Tele... Hook was like fourth from the bottom on the list, in spite of Eric still using a complementary comment from me (😑), that I wrote a long time ago. I still quite enjoy it though, there are actually very few Spielberg movies if any, I outright despise.
  15. I'm always down for sending gifts to others, only issue might be money, so yeah I'll do this.
  16. That's a great description of both of the two significant performances, and partially why the movie was so effective for me. The landing scene is actually a great example of high tension in a seemingly lower situation.
  17. I actually watched that movie several months ago, when it first premiered on Amazon Prime. I guess I can understand why a lot of people didn't like it, it's relatively stagey and the subtitles can be an issue, but I was quite impressed by what I saw. JGL's performance really struck the right balance of calm and collective, and losing his mind in a terrible situation, and the short runtime was certainly an added bonus. By the end it basically felt like it flew by.
