  1. Whoops, just realized you finished it, lol. Well great job @Cap. Can't complain with the top five.
  2. Great list so far, although I wish more people had seen Starman, because that's one heck of a pairing, but hey can't win em all.
  3. My final ballot. Things change a bit, because I managed to sorta unexpectedly see Licorice Pizza at the last minute.
  4. Just popped in, to see this thread is a thing. HOLY SHIT, you old coot, you did it!!!

  6. Really good list @The Panda. Some good suggestions on here of movies that I haven't seen yet, that I should really check out. I've been meaning to check out Shiva Baby for a while now.
  7. Pacino has more successes even something as problematic and hated as Cruising opened big back in the day, heck his worst wide opening for over a decade post comeback City Hill still managed a PTA of over 4,000 on its opening weekend, but also, he tended to take less traditional risks and supporting roles then DeNiro did in his prime. Love him, but I couldn't see Pacino doing something like Raging Bull for example. The other thing about DeNiro is that most of his biggest hits or good openers were generally well-received films, and or looked interesting / kinda cool, movies like Ronin, the Scorsese collaborations (Goodfellas, Casino), Heat with Pacino etc... all had solid numbers on their opening weekends. DeNiro's best run at the box office in fact, was post Meet the Parents, where he had five 10m + openers in a row, and was always paired with some younger hot actor of the time, and yes his paychecks were getting increasingly high. He got 17.5m for Showtime alone. I get the sense that he was more concerned about his movies doing well around the time, hence the shift to more absurd palatable "stupid comedy". In comparison Pacino floundered a bit more, but still had a little bit of an audience left. By that point, neither were at the height of their powers, however.
  8. Fine, I have a steady working job now, and a lot of free time on my hand, I'm IN!
  9. This was an enjoyable read for me. I couldn't possibly think of what my own of list most shattering and or frightening scenes in horror history would be like, but this captured the feeling of it pretty well. Job well done @baumer.
  10. The Black Cat is such an awesome pull. One of those movies I've seen several times, and have always enjoyed, it helps that it's so short. Karloff & Lugosi were a great pairing. That scene you mentioned, genuinely freaked me out the first time I saw it.
  11. Had a lot of catching-up to do, mostly because I was off doing other things on Friday. Great presentation @WrathOfHan, would have preferred The Thing being #1, but I can't really complain otherwise.
  12. The Final Chapter wasn't on my list, but it made the honorable mentions. It's my favorite of the Friday Series, an extremely good and enjoyable "epic showdown", of a film.

  14. Busy yesterday with a wedding, so I couldn't see the end of list immediately. Still this was a great list to make and follow. Also appreciated that you kept up the joke troll by putting Logan at "#4". Once Upon a Time in The West is a totally deserving #1, too.
  15. Just discovered this list was happening. Really enjoying the non-conventional approach you're taking to presenting it. Some of those written takes are just wild. The Oklahoma one, made me laugh hard.
  16. My final list. I had quite a few honorable mentions that just barely missed the top 50. 1. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly 2. Blazing Saddles 3. Once Upon a Time in The West 4. High Noon 5. 17. Be thankful it showed up at all. The amount of users on here, who haven't seen the film is shocking!
  18. Williams rightfully takes his place at the #1 and #2 spots. Really the entire Star Wars saga score-wise, is an accomplishment unlike anything a film composer has done before or really likely after. Anyway, this list got a predictable by the end, but I appreciated that the top ten was a bit different from last time, and the new additions were nice. Great presentation @4815162342.
  19. I mean I didn't vote for any of his MCU scores, but the man does know how to compose a solid tune.
  20. Star Trek: The Motion Picture dropping is unfortunate, but YAY at On Golden Pond making it into the top 100, a genuine surprise. That score is short, but wonderful!
