  1. it is also not falling -60% per day from last week so theaters probably wont dump this too soon
  2. I don't think Ant-Man 2 should be considered a disappointment or a flop. 160M budget, 200m domestic, 700m worldwide? The brand is not 'hurt' from this second sequel. It likely has better reception than Star Trek Beyond. The Ant-Man character is pretty relevant in todays pop culture. Fatigue wont bring it down the way it did for ASM2.

  6. Skyscraper has a decent chance to get to 50 million next Sunday. With another set of weekdays, Skyscraper should reach 55-56 when Mi6 opens and could get to around 75-80 domestic total coming in around 2/3 of the production budget.
  7. I think she is 17, but IDK. Do they have strict pedo laws there? I think somewhere the woman get to choose at the age of 12, or maybe 13, but I think they get to respectfully marry the guy for life, but I'm not sure...
  8. I don't think human box office stars target upfront demand at the box office. Jumanji, Rampage, and Skyscraper all had low previews and carried well. Maybe if it is like a concert film, it gets a huge OD Movie stars adding 50% to Thursday previews and determining how much of an attractant they are with opening week audiences seems like a dead end to read into. If someone likes an actor, they can find them on tv. However, I think movie stars add to the product. Here is one I could find. It does not show much, but it does show a small jump on Saturday hinting that maybe Friday was a couple % points frontloaded from fandom. This would be one of Hayden Christensen's first films since Episode 3. Awake (2007) 2007/11/30 4 $2,230,887 2,002 $1,114 $2,230,887 1 2007/12/01 6 $2,265,538 +2% 2,002 $1,132 $4,496,425 2 2007/12/02 6 $1,360,447 -40% 2,002 $680 $5,856,872 3
  9. I noticed there is like 20 episodes of a Hotel Transylvania continuation series on Netflix. HT4 will have to be careful not to fall into domestic bomb territory. HT3 looks like it is going to pull of 140 million + domestic and Skyscraper might match Rampage worldwide. Lucky weekend for these two. The luck should hold over next weekend too. I could see possibly Skyscraper cutting into the OW of Equalizer 2 and then both Equalizer and Skyscraper holding very well against Mi6 and Mi6 taking a hit as a result of Skyscrapers third weekend.
  10. Ant-Man and Jurassic World might each go up about 0.2 million. Everything else looks good.

  12. I wonder how much it costs the animators to blow up each ship in The Last Jedi, if they like to charge per depth of space battle. maybe there is a recycling too.
  13. Big investment though on each film. Other films should start adding next to them on the schedule.
