  2. I remember Mi5 was tracking around the same a few back....maybe 2015.
  3. have not watched much of any movie this past week, but just watched through about 20 minutes of Shoot 'Em Up and then saw it is a 2007 release and not 2008 so I'm not going to finish it because I am too lethargic. Paul Giamatti's performance at the beginning (2007) does remind me of Heath Ledger's Joker.
  4. 2012, 2007 - both years had Saturday on July 7th. 2012 - Sat avg., top 10 gross +12.5% over Friday. 2007 - Sat avg., top 10 gross +15.7% over Friday 2018 - Sat avg., top 10 gross +11.2% over Friday (minus Thursday Ant-Man previews) 2012 - Sun avg., top 10 gross -25.1% from Saturday 2007 - Sun avg., top 10 gross -18.5% from Saturday 2018 - Sun avg., top 10 gross (estimates) -22.5% from Saturday assuming -20% for the following movies on Sunday gives these weekend grosses. -20% Ant-Man - 76.30 - 76.30 -20% Incredibles - 29.02 - 504.38 -20% Jurassic - 28.91 - 333.67 -20% Purge 4 - 17.46 - 31.37 -20% Sicario - 7.60 - 35.60 -20% Uncle - 6.77 - 30.09 -20% Ocean's - 5.28 - 126.75 -20% Tag - 3.11 - 48.33 -20% Neighbor - 2.54 - 12.33 -20% Deadpool - 1.72 - 314.59 -20% Sanju - 1.27 - 5.98 -20% Hereditary - 1.01 - 41.87 -31.3% Avengers - 0.87 - 674.79 -31.3% Solo - 1.02 - 210.88 -20% Superfly - 0.653 - 19.86 -20% Book - 0.442 - 67.18 -20% Adrift - 0.306 - 30.86 In 2012, the weekly/weekend ratio during July 6-8 was 50.5% of the weekday grosses being from the weekend. Assuming big Tuesday jumps and bigger Thursday losses, 50% should be the baseline for this. Book Club usually goes to 90%, I2 and other Pixar films should average 67%. 2007 - Mon avg., top 10 gross - 54.9% from Sunday 2012 - Mon avg., top 10 gross -55.4% from Sunday - a little more than a 50% drop on Monday seems fair here as the Sunday drops are so light over this weekend, historically. for the next weekend, 2007 and 2012 saw larger Saturday jumps and Sunday holds that matched Friday #s 2007 - Sat. avg., top 10 gross +18.6% over Friday 2007 - Sun. avg., top 10 gross -23.5% from Sunday 2012 - Sat. avg., top 10 gross +21.9% over Friday 2012 - Sat. avg., top 10 gross -21.5% from Sunday this year might increase just a little more on Saturday, but it is easiest to assume moderate average weekend to weekend drops per film. in 2017, War for the Planet of the Apes opened along side Wish Upon and the Saturday increases for most film were not as good as they were in June. then in 2016, The Secret Life of Pets opened alongside Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and the Saturday increases were most under 50% that during time too.
  5. Yes, this is a correct assessment and it is very alarming as to whether Solo will play out the rest of the summer and try to hit 220m. or rather try to stay above AATW and Mi6 as another Star Wars movie to conquer with the summer. Thank you.
  6. it could have played out the way some films do when opening in December on winter break. July 4th on Wednesday w/ Purge opening, Ant-Man opening at 6pm on Thursday might have added to ones viewing schedule. The first Ant-Man played well in the end when there was no competition but a lot of random movies opening. This one should be in competition amongst Marvels best OW multipliers to total (minus the previews).

  8. in the Iggy video ^^ I'm wondering if there are males artists or individuals similar but they would be in public walking at a beach and twerking while they walk around with thong-like underwear wedged and fastened up both holes with not much outerwear on unless preferred. maybe in this case, having a vagina is more free than having a penis.
  9. Theater counts were not reported on time this week for A Wrinkle in Time. Nonetheless, the weekday numbers were stable indicating maybe these numbers from those days were originating from the second-run dollar theaters instead of the drive in double bills. If that is part of the case, then the July 2-5 dailies should be spread out again over this weekend regardless if theaters counts ever get reported or not. 2018/06/29 - $10,352 -22% 58 $178 $100,439,884 113 2018/06/30 - $7,771 -25% 58 $134 $100,447,655 114 2018/07/01 - $4,946 -36% 58 $85 $100,452,601 115 2018/07/02 - $5,892 +19% 58 $102 $100,458,493 116 2018/07/03 - $6,922 +17% 58 $119 $100,465,415 117 2018/07/04 - $4,798 -31% 58 $83 $100,470,213 118 2018/07/05 - $8,395 +75% 58 $145 $100,478,608 119

  12. when Deadline put out the 11.5m Thursday estimate, it made sense to raise the prediction a little bit up +10% to 100m OW. it is like blackjack. tracking vs other 2018 films was low enough to suggest it wasn't going to coast by 80 and up through 90, but when that 11.5m Thursday number hit, conclusions were drawn. Comparisons were made comparing AM2 amongst the other Summer blockbusters. Then expectations become stretched a little bit that this should then come out on the luckier side of a high number thus challenging some of the films like JWFK that dipped a little.
  13. each installment brings a further sense of dread and runs the possibility of injecting a sour taste in ones mouth after $20 + 2hr spent. Purge 4 and Purge 5 can be watched at home with subtitles.
  14. sounds to me like someone's lost and hungry.
