  2. Movietickets.com top 5 online sellers as of 7:50a.m. east coast. #1 - Hotel Transylvania 3 - 31.1% #2 - Ant-Man 2 - 19.4% #3 - Incredibles 2 - 9.8% #4 - Skyscraper - 9.0% #5 - Jurassic World - 8.4%
  3. Maybe they will release a 3.0 Thursday number, and then wait a couple hours before they say if that included the extra 1.2.
  4. looking for these numbers... 2.5 Skyscraper 2.0 Hotel Hotel - 11.7 + 14.5 + 11.7 = 38.0 + 2.0 = 40.0 Skyscraper - 9.0 + 10.4 + 8.1 = 27.5 + 2.5 = 30.0 Ant-Man - 8.4 + 11.5 + 9.1 = 29.0
  5. reviews/scores so far... Hotel Transylvania 3 - - 63% fresh, 40 reviews. 69% audience score, 942 votes. - 6.5 IMDB score, 935 votes Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015) - 55% rotten, 103 reviews. 64% audience score, 89,478 votes. - 6.7 IMDB score, 80,526 votes Hotel Transylvania (2012) - 44% rotten, 142 reviews. 72% audience score, 150,842 votes. - 7.1 IMDB score, 190,107 votes
  6. looks like Skyscraper is in the same O/U 30 million OW range that Rampage was looking at. The only bad thing is Skyscraper cost $125 million, whereas Rampage cost $120 million and will be selling blu-rays for.... "generations hence." Skyscraper will have to bank on having the 'one word title' for a film that so many classic action films have for Skyscrapers duration/home video life.
  7. should have just released Ant-Man in the middle of September or January and seen an 'A' cinemascore go through instead of an 'A-' for the exact same film.
  8. probably paid premium in gas to get there too. Last 3D I did was first time viewing IW and I got slotted into that one when showing up late for another. Totally ruined the experience. It is making the screen to small for me. It is all about the 70MM IMAX format with IMAX3D right in the center, where you pay $20 bucks after work, and you can just reach out and grab the screen!
  9. not too many sales popping up on Fandango pulse for Skyscraper. It is not in the Movietickets.com top 5 either. Must be a glitch in the system.
  10. Thursday per screen averages: Emoji - $408 Ice Age - $303 Boss Baby - $556 Double the average of this at 3,000 theaters today is $2.533 million. This makes $844 PTA, and approximately 92 purchases per location at $9.16 avg. price. Also last night, Sony's The Emoji Movie took in $900K from 2,205 Thursday early shows starting at 5PM. This is actually an improvement on the $800k The Angry Birds Movie brought in from previews before its $38.1 million opening as well as an improvement on the $650k brought in by Captain Underpants before its $23.8 million debut last month. At the same time, it's just behind the $850k preview gross for Ice Age: Collision Course, which opened with $21.3 million last July. *Fox started Thursday previews for Ice Age: Collision Course at 5PM and the film brought in $850,000 from 2,804 theaters.*http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=4309&p=.htm Fox and Dreamworks' The Boss Baby wasn't too far behind, grossing a strong $1.5 million from ~2,700 theaters on Thursday evening with screenings beginning at 5PM. As always with animated titles, it isn't easy to draw much of a comparison as this is $100k over the $1.4 million Big Hero 6 brought in on Thursday night before opening with $56.2 million. It's also more than double the $650k Fox's Home brought in from Thursday previews in 2015 before opening with $52.1 million.
  11. 10-day total - domestic total Ant-Man - 81.3 - 180.2 Suicide Squad - 179.1 - 325.1 Spider-Man: H - 163.1 - 334.2 Jason Bourne - 80.7 - 162.4 Star Trek Beyond - 81.7 - 158.8 if Ant-Man 2 drops ~9.2%, then it makes 5.31 and 104 10-day total. Ant-Man 2 104.0 10-day total comparisons. Spider-man - 213.1 Jason Bourne - 209.3 Star Trek - 202.1 average - 208.2
  12. the Wednesday # I think is around 1/2 of the Thurs previews so maybe it will do the same tomorrow/today
  13. if only The Phantom Menace did sub 300m
  14. I really need to add my social security # and bank info right here so I can find it later in the archives. I'll remember it is the forum thread (string tied around finger) with Ant-Man doing horrible, making 200m look weak, and going under Solo in the second weekend perhaps and even more, -65%?
  15. bad Monday, good Tuesday, bad Wednesday... Ant-Man 2 is going to need an uncharacteristically good hold on Thursday, today, and remain flat in attendance from Wednesday, yesterday, against the emergence of two blockbuster films previewing tonight for this weekend. If it does not drop too much today, then 200m will look better going into this weekend.
  16. Scary Movie's run reminds me of Illumination animation films. Just a filler when there is not much out. Okay, a different example, A Quiet Place and Wild Dogs.
  17. I think it would be fun to live in a motel for a week off of a limited food supply, only have these dvd's available with a tv, remote, and dvd player, and not be allowed to go outside. - War for the Planet of the Apes, Kong: Skull Island, Pirates 5, Transformers 5 and Justice League.
