  1. If The Miracle Season averages the same as Chappaquiddick did from last night, these are my projections A Quiet Place - 53.4 Blockers - 20.7 Miracle Season - 3.52 Chappaquiddick - 3.22
  2. does anyone know how many locations Isle of Dogs will expand to next weekend. It went above the projected 400 this weekend with 547. Maybe double to 1,094? Is Pandas supposed to do well this weekend? WB IMAX Documentary, 33 locations. does You Were Never Really Here expand to more than 100 next weekend? Is Traffic still going wide with Super Troopers 2 and I Feel Pretty on the 20th? I am guessing one of the limited release films will be going with +1,000 locations the weekend Avengers opens.
  3. Sunday should be a little lower than Friday for most films. Assume large drops Monday with minimal school breaks. Best way to project next week is to compare PTA for Sat #s. Both would have to be predicted. Sunday drops (from Saturday) next weekend should be within range of the Sunday drops this weekend.
  4. Get Out had a $12,002 PTA and Split was $13,170. Applying those averages to 3,508 locations gives 42.1-46.2
  5. I don't remember watching this, but it was pretty good. They had tons of time to fill in all the VFX.
  6. The Miracle Season should be north of 100K. There were 5pm previews and it probably played in at least 1,000 spots as it is going at 1,707 today.
  7. assume frontloading. School break for some. Annabelle did 35 from 4 million Thursday. Similar ratio would give A Quiet Place 37.625
  8. A Quiet Place - 4.3 Thursday range - 17 - 22 Friday 42 - 55 weekend
  9. Chappaquiddick - 175K Thursday night Range - 0.9 - 1.25 Friday 2.3 - 3.75 Weekend.
  10. Blockers - 1.5 Thursday I have a range of 6.6 - 8.3 Friday, 17.9 -22.8 Weekend.
  11. avg. daily attendance from last Friday to Wednesday, and then predictions the rest of the way. *Bonus - I might return and put in Thursday actual numbers changing the overall total. 13. looks like A Wrinkle in Time should only loose about 1/3 locations at the most. Mon Tues + Weds Thurs - Fri - Sat - Sun (2,367) - A Wrinkle in Time - $411 $436 + $276 $280 - $420 + $630 + $400 (-800) (1,567) - A Wrinkle in Time - $1,450 PTA - 2.27 weekend
  14. This weekend is looking to add approximately 10,300 new theater counts. 3,300 from Blockers, 3,490 - The Quiet Place, 1,700 Miracle, 1,550 Chappaquiddick, and I put Isle of Dogs with an expansion of +260 locations to round out the approx. total at 10,300 theater counts. These following 21 films compromised 39,892 theater counts from last weekend, and in the second spoiler, 10,300 theater counts are removed from the list below. God's Not Dead 3 is supposed to loose 316.
  15. so Rampage might be able to win from Tomb Raider the best reviewed video game of all time? How high can it go though? Tomb Raider only matched Warcraft from last year.
  16. 17. about 10,000 new theater counts will be coming in this weekend. The best you will get is probably subtracting about 8,000 of the theater counts from this past week.
  18. Love, Simon was a lot funnier than I thought it would be. The obnoxious character when he dressed as the 'Freudian slip' for Halloween, one of my favorites... and the Star Spangled Banner scene... I was holding in the laughing but trying not to pee my pants. I walked to the theater and got super stoned on the way there. I do not react well with THC, I get overly sensitive, and usually VFX films are my best bet in such circumstances, so going in alone to a PG-13 high school rom-com felt as awkward as it could possibly be when I am at least ten years older than these characters. I was even debating with watching Midnight Sun instead.. Caution to large groups... the theater seats you sit on might be measuring your pulse. The air rests and flooring are firm and one has to put pressure on their limbs for up to 100 minutes in such environment. there is a lot of contact with pressure points.
  19. A Wrinkle in Time wont have many locations left in 2 weeks time.
  20. 3d is most likely at its lowest due to piracy people must like to pirate those 3d films and watch them without the glasses
  21. I don't see how Chappaquiddick doesn't make it into the top 3 this weekend. I will try to count all the leaves on a tree, then get back to you.
  22. Jumanji at 403 now. about 0.71 away from passing Spider-Man
  23. A Wrinkle in Time should pass 90 million soon.
  24. Rings should have done 40 OW. I wonder if Coco, Strangers 2, Jumanji, Greatest Showman, Peter Rabbit, and Love Simon can all hold at least 10% better than what the estimates are saying. That would add 2k to Coco, at least 14 for strangers, 16k for Jumanji, 17 showman, 45 peter rabbit and 100k love simon. That would put Love, Simon at 4.9 in the derby and keep Peter Rabbit above 2m for the weekend. Greatest Showman would bump up to 700,000, and have Strangers going for 20th place.
