  1. I know Call Me By Your Name, Shape of water, and 3 Billboards each had 2 supporting actors competing during awards season. That probably had alot to do with it. + Michael Shannon has gotten tons of nominations before
  2. sure? I would really like a BOT web technician to let me know before i copy + paste another document. Thank You
  3. could someone please tell me this? If i want to post an excel sheet that shows maybe 30 films performing over a 7 day period, will that slow down traffic on this forum in any way? Will it make it difficult for guests to access this forum with a very cheap and slow cell phone? The sheets I do are like 30 rows x 15 columns maybe.
  4. I do not think the mainstream ones really have had a big audience though..... I dont even understand Fault in Our Stars, that opens big, the next 3 tearjerkers maybe make 3-10M OW?
  5. why is Love, Simon supposed to blow up when all the other LGBT movies (including award season sweepers) make less than 30 million?
  6. no estimated theater counts yet for I Can Only Imagine. I am assuming that and 7 Days in Entebbe will combine for 2k Theater counts. then Love, Simon and Tomb Raider combining for 6k+ Does anyone think the week after will have something taken from the schedule? Midnight Sun has been moved around a lot and was filmed years ago. Unsane was just added recently I think. Paul, Apostle of Christ should get a good release. Sherlock Gnomes and Pacific Rim 2 will take up like 8,000 screens. those two weeks will add over 20,000 theater counts if everything gets a wide release.
  7. I thought her acting was top notch in the Hunger Games films upon revisiting. mother! was great acting in an obnoxious way iMO.
  8. underwater ocean action thrown at you in 3D. experiencing underwater for the first time
  9. fairly decent last set of films on paper.... Hunger Games Joy X-Men Passengers mother! Red Sparrow
  10. I'm guessing, Justice League underwater Aquaman scenes brought further + Transformers Last Knight underwater submersible IMAX scenes
  11. it appears that by tomorrow, Monday numbers should be finalized.
  12. is Love, Simon supposed to be another sleeper like Wonder? I guess it will suck the audience away from Tomb Raider like Justice League.
  13. silly forums posts = throwback when pushing the limits was fun
  14. Predicted 7-day totals. estimated totals by Thursday. Avg Sat/last Sat PTA lighty distributed through weekdays. Black Panther - 573.5 Wrinkle in Time - 43.2 Strangers - 13.8 Red Sparrow - 34.7 Game Night - 48.0 Peter Rabbit - 95.4 Death Wish - 26.4 Hurricane Heist - 4.3 Annihilation - 22.9 Jumanji - 398.1 Gringo - 3.65 Shape of Water - 61.87 Greatest SHowman - 168.1 Fifty Shades - 99.0 Thoroughbreds - 1.64 Three Billboards - 53.66 Winchester - 24.93 The Post - 81.26 Call Me By Your Name - 17.59 Darkest Hour - 56.21 I, Tonya - 29.62 Lady Bird - 48.79 Phantom Thread - 20.81
  15. Den of Thieves, 12 Strong, Foreigner, Geostorm, Commuter, Red SParrow, Death Wish, Annihilation, and 15:17 all opened above 10M. Seemed the genre was on fire for week to week and HH had good advertising and looked to have a solid hook to make 10M more on OW than what it did. Maybe it was quick edited and dropped in theaters fast and ended up sucking? I have not looked at reviews or nothing. Just the tv air and staring at release schedule.
  16. what went wrong w Hurricane Heist? thought it was on target for 10+ easy
  17. I predicted 7.5 for Hurricane and 6 for Strangers. Should have matched those PTA's!!!
