skimming through reserved seating so far today, Pets has been looking like a 100M opener with 2d only. 3D reserved seating has been mediocre. and today and yesterday the premiums and IMAX have been poor......
Can Pets increase today from its 33M Friday #?
Zootopia averaged $8,267 on Saturday.
Pets would have to increase 9.48% to match that.
Despicable Me increased less than 1/2% from its REAL Friday $.
Ice Age 4 only increased 1.4%
Even Despicable Me 2's real Wed # was its highest grossing day.
SO I JUST DO NOT KNOW!!!
when dealing with the final total, are we supposed to divide by the current exchange rate?? or do you do it in increments during the various times the exchange rate changed during the run. I think before the British divorce happened, the exchange rate was 6.55 and now it is 6.65....
Finding DORY
Monday (-35.11%) 8.53
Tuesday (+3.18%) 8.80
Wednesday (-35.00%) 5.72
Thursday (-9.26%) 5.19
Weekdays = 28.24
Current estimated total as of Sunday = 371.76
if Dory does not collapse Thursday, then 400 in 21 days
2 movies coming out next week, and 2 movies coming out the week after that. The Shallows should stay above 2,000 theaters through those weeks (week 3 & week4). Assuming strong weekdays, this could power past 60.
everything seems pretty packed via reserved seating fandango. Even Tarzan w/ the premiums. can anyone get a current satellite photo of the parking lot status??
it might b fun if you get a job with Blue Sky studios in the winter as part of the team that campaigns for Ice Age 5 during the awards season. Perhaps you could be in charge of designing and decorating various Ice Age 5 campaign posters.
hmm I correct myself. I just checked out KFP3's rotten tomato page and I have never seen the movie.... If it was between Zootopia and Dory, I would predict a tie...
I have been suspicious for months that KFP3 might take it. Now that Dory is out, I do not think Dory will win. It looks like Pets might not even be nominated....
my predicts as of now...
1. KFP3
2. Zootopia
3. Moana
4. Dory
5. Kubo and the Two Strings
5 mainstream movies nominated this year!!!
