It's because of that flop Cats club (which by the way is almost as "good" as the Blackhat club
), isn't it?
It was such a bad bet on his part. No idea why he accepted it. When I brought it up I thought he was going to refuse it.

Updated. Tree did not reach 10 points yet (but is close) so suspension lifted for now. We apologize for the mix-up.
This is a reminder: if your points don't expire as they should contact me (2 weeks per point).

Guys, don't panic. Believe in Kevin, Marvel and Disney. Everything is going fine. Heck, given that, things are probably going into a better direction with a better director attached !
It's a factory. Shouldn't impact quality. Derrickson was fired I guess for trying to break out of the MCU mold. Wonder how long that mold can stay fresh though.

Kingslol the MCU won the 2010s. Easily. Star Wars came close but then TLJ happened and TROS/Solo followed. But I think Spiderman Homecoming wasn't that good. Hard to get into it after Endgame. We'll see. But right now Phase Four should win the box office for a couple years.

Very fun show. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. It's the kind of show where solutions to life-and-death problems can lead to more problems. Plus the characters are pretty relatable.

Funny how people always claim Hollywood movies are predictable, boring and unimaginative.
" We want original movies !!!!"
Throw them a curveball and they reject it vehemently.
They will praise West Side Story remake next year.
Oh, the sweet, tender irony of these people.
They are unaware conservatives.
Hard to be original when you're the second adaptation of a Broadway play.

Not saying it happened to you but a growing number of people are reporting practically empty screenings that were showing as 99% sold out when they went to purchase their tickets. Also the RT audience score seems to have been frozen in carbonite.
I should hide this post but I'm just going to shut this down: peddling conspiracy theories with no real evidence other than you heard from unknown online people is not a good look. I never said my theater said it looked like it was sold out: I knew going in it only sold a few tickets. I'm not even in the United States currently. I saw the movie in Mexico City and I imagine the dubbed screenings are selling better than the subtitled ones cause of the family/kid aspect of the movies.

My 11 AM showing was almost empty.
I got the trailer (not prologue) for Tenet and my dad was confused what it was supposed to be telling me it's not a good trailer for the GA. Also got a trailer for Top Gun: Maverick and a clever teaser for the new Minions movie. 3 trailers and a bunch of ads. Lol.

That's the lowest Cinemascore ever for a Star Wars film (not counting Clone Wars animated garbage)
I'm such a Star Wars fan I saw that Clone Wars movie in theaters. All these posers complaining about TLJ or TROS didn't.

for a franchise film anything below A- is terrible , fans go out opening day
TLJ fans review bombing the Cinemascore. It's fine.

Dammit, I'm out of likes already.
How does the Premium Account 5$+10$ per month work? Does it cost 5$ for one month and 10$ for the next?
Yes but you can cancel before it charges $10. I don't think it renews automatically (could be wrong).

A little reminder:
The Last Jedi:
TROS:
What about Cats?

the one good thing is it looks like Cats will do less than Spider-verse so Tele will have to watch Detective Pikachu.

I think Star Wars can work in an MCU quantity on TV. Big no to cinematically though.
The Mandalorian is a pretty big hit based on online chatter and it's only an average TV show. So yeah probably.

I personally think SW could be Marvel, but Skywalker saga couldn't. A single story thread shouldn't work like that.
Solo proved SW can't really be Marvel. Despite what fanboys on the internet says, the GA isn't really interested in seeing spin-off movies about characters: and most of Marvel is movies about a specific character. Rogue One maybe showed spin-off movies could work when exploring a different part of the world with new characters.

People expected those to be the last Star Wars film ever. Disney already dated 3 new Star Wars films.
Disney should reconvene and realize Star Wars isn't Marvel. Give audiences a bit of a break then come back. I don't mind Rian doing his trilogy, even though I'm not a fan of TLJ, because at least then it'll be one unified vision.

1. The film is the finale of the entire saga and has been marketed as such.
2. This is the finale of the trilogy. In the history of the Star Wars franchise never has the finale grossed less then the second film.
How could people even say that 40 million is solid? Haven't many people on here been repeating that this film will increase from it's predecessors and how the vocal minority won't effect box office? How about now?
1) Until the next movie. Also audiences have started to be skeptical of "final" movie marketing. (And the GA won't differentiate between Rian's trilogy (if it happens), the spin-off movies, and any new movies from "the main saga")
2) TLJ has proven to be way too divisive I think in a way ESB and AOTC wasn't.

then it's you that doesn't understand the box office. The Last Jedi is legs are horrible because it really divided a lot of fans. The legs on this one could easily be better which would allow it to gross more.
It's hard to tell with the GA but so far I doubt it has better legs. Seems like the most common reaction is "meh" not "holy shit that was amazing you have to see it".

Whatever comes after this Star Wars, I have a feeling the next trilogy will have a more unified vision.
I do believe people will still loudly complain, but then again, it is Star Wars so water is wet and all of that jazz.
I Thank God I never had a a computer when the prequel trilogy came out because I'd have lost my damn mind. I've lost enough of it with the sequel bashing, regardless of whether or not people made sense about their opinion or just doing it because views.
I wouldn't worry about the next trilogy. After years of TV shows and spin-off movies, the next trilogy is going to act and feel like other franchises. TLJ didn't kill Star Wars. Disney did when Star Wars went from being special to just another franchise. Star Wars will likely never have the same success as it did with TFA/RO.
