Very great 😡. Since the new update I can't log in anymore from my big PC where I have all my charts. Not the first time this is happening after an update here. And it takes long enough without new trouble. I have no idea what to do and with the Smartphone it's really annoying.

Ambulance had today counted for Friday 196 sold tickets.

Comps: The Protege had 32 sold tickets on the same day,

    Copshop had 11 sold tickets

and Angel has fallen (not the best comp) had 136 sold tickets (but big jumps over the next days and very good walk-ups).

Overall not bad but it also doesn't look like a breakout hit so far in my theaters.

Sonic 2 had today for Friday 791+ sold tickets in 7 theaters (one reported Sell Out could indeed be true because the other evening show is also "Almost Full").

Comps: The first Sonic The Hedgehog movie had on Thursday = my final count = 3 days later 2.103 sold tickets which Sonic 2 could reach or at least it could come close.

Jungle Cruise had also on Monday 357 sold tickets,

    Dolittle had 143

and Clifford had 75 sold tickets (for Wednesday).

Overall good numbers for today but I'm not completely sold so far.

Turned off AJAX Pagination. That might be the issue. But if it doesn't please PM me with more info so I can try to resolve that issue for you.

    No more 10,000 post barrier?

Wow.  No longer an exclusive club member.  LAME. :sadno:

(j/k ya da best, wb 👍)

They removed the ability for me to put a post barrier lol. Also it changed so you'll get your rank AND your title so it's just different now. We may at some point add more ranks and allow users to earn achievements with this new system.

I am no longer the Resident SW Shill and Apologist tho. :sadfleck:

(seriously though, hope User Titles come back at some point, as they were a fun perk)

Sorta restored. It's on your profile page only for now. Will try to figure out how to get it so that it's with every post.

"WW3" kinda requires a second major multinational bloc to start shooting back, and there is exactly zero indication that is happening any time soon.

The only way WW3 breaks out is if Putin gets aggressive and bold enough to attack a NATO ally.

When craft service look like this:

And when work during shooting set is less than half the days in a year, it can.

Granted I don't have as much experience as @Plain Old Tele but when I have worked on large sets the snack craft table had snacks like chips, donuts, sodas, water, donuts, etc. They didn't have portable salads and sandwiches like you pictured.

Portable salads and sandwiches require some refrigeration to stay fresh. Usually the coolers with ice were reserved for drinks not food.

The place that would have those things would actually be a bit off set dedicated to eating meals.

I am sure you cannot eat a steak or anything complex, but the notion of crabbing stuff has you go is not a crazy employer demand for that type of jobs, where the benefit of having people always ready and near is vast but also the nature of the job will have many natural break occurring at the same time (a bit like a long security guard shift).

    You read stuff like that:

    https://deadline.com/2018/02/hollywood-safety-drowsy-driving-long-work-hours-crew-1202275319/

And regardless of the work condition during the work, just the actual length of it by itself seem to be an large issue, going back to longer shoot (from pre production to actual shoot), could do some good for everyone involved, relying less on timing, better quality, better working condition, etc...

Snacks aren't a real substitute for an actual meal especially when you are working on set. ;)

Crew size and production type I feel are different here, possible that on mega production waiting will be a large part of the day, making easy to eat has you want without a dedicated lunch break. And the impact of stopping-restarting being different has thing scale (a bit the same for boat or manufacturing).

Oh trust me there was still some waiting time for members of my crew lol. The thing about waiting while on a crew is that you also need to be ready to get back to it at any moment. So you can't just go and eat lunch since if they need you then you slow the production down.

I mean, I get some of this, but some of this is just insane.

These productions cost millions and millions of dollars and they are already under a tremendous time crunch to even bring in the production on any sort of a budget and avoid delays due to weather, location availability, talent schedules, etc....

Having all of these crazy rules and hard stops and penalties makes it a nightmare.

    https://www.wrapbook.com/blog/meal-penalties-producers-guide

Should be noted the crazy rule here is "let people eat food".

I directed/produced a short film a couple months ago. Even though we had exactly one day to shoot (due to many reasons) a 7-page script, we still broke for lunch. We got almost every shot we wanted to get.

I did this despite being a super low budget shoot. If I can give people a lunch break as a super small production company then I think large companies can factor in guaranteed food breaks.

He went on to be the lead of a CBS procedural which flopped and lasted one season. At least Colony got 3 seasons on USA.

He was on Yellowstone for a bit.

Are Evangeline Lilly and Daniel Dae Kim the only main Lost cast members who haven't mostly faded into obscurity in 2021? I laughed when J.J. randomly casted Dominic Monaghan in a nothing role in The Rise of Skywalker.

Ian Somerholder? Vampire Diaries for 8 seasons on the CW? I wouldn't call him obscure lol.

True, they might have thought the show would play out in real time,

more or less, so a growing kid wouldn't have been an issue. The show changed a lot in the early stages, at one point Jack was going to die in the pilot and be played by Michael Keaton.

The fans were really raging when they got that or Nikki and Paulo, haha. I wonder how Lost would have played out in the streaming era, it would have like half as many episodes for starters.

The streaming era is horrible for those who want TV to play to it's strengths: more episodes to flesh out characters and go on little side adventures that maybe don't advance the main story but are fun.

But times change. Lost would have lasted three seasons on Netflix than replaced with a similar show. Lol. It sorta exploded at the right time.

  11. Hello BOT community. Today I have some news to share with y'all. I am stepping aside as "Chief Admin" and instead taking a different role in the staff. I remember as a small-time poster from Box Office Mojo being extremely discouraged when we found out that BOM decided it wasn't worth bringing back it's forums. I remember helping Shawn set up the forum and in exchange he hired me as a moderator. My original idea was simply to moderate the TV forum but I think Shawn and I meshed together very well so I became an Admin then when he stepped back because he got too busy, the Chief Admin role. I would run the forum day to day while he remained as owner. For years, that worked well. I love BOT, the community, and movies so I was really happy with this role.

But times change. I've started to get more and more busy and have had less and less time for BOT. I think I've also maybe gotten burned out a bit and it's gotten to the point where instead of checking into BOT daily, I would sometimes not get on the forums for days. I believe these forums deserve an active leader who is present every day and I don't think I can be that person anymore. As such, I told Shawn a few months ago that it was my intention to step down from running the forum day-to-day but if he wanted, I could remain as a more advisor/technical help guy. But first I wanted to find at least one person who I felt comfortable handing the keys to the forum.

I will be remaining on the staff largely to help Shawn deal with technical issues as well as to help with sales and trying to bring donations back up: donations have completely shriveled in the face of the pandemic but now that movies are coming back, I hope you lot decide to help support us! Otherwise we will be very dependent on ad revenue to help pay the bills. Finally, I will occasionally help with settling any disputes but this won't be my primary role.

I'd like to welcome @Cap as the new Chief Admin. As a moderator, I thought she was doing an excellent job. I think she has a good head on her shoulders, is active, and I think loves the community as much as I do. And like she once said, this site is about movies. It's supposed to be fun! So I brought her on as a Junior Admin a few months ago with the purpose of giving her experience in the hopes that she would eventually ascend to be the captain of the ship now...pun intended. As such, she is now in charge of the day-to-day running of the forum.

I think she will do a wonderful job.
