  1. RN decreased from Ghost Protocol which was liked. Again, these are a year out. I bet I'll change them when hype is more easily measured. But it really seems like people think movies that they want to do well will do well.
  2. They're far out guesses. Probably half of those won't even make their set release date. I wouldn't worry about being nitpicky. I really don't see the appeal in an Ant-Man sequel though. The first one isn't overly well regarded, people consistently overpredict Marvel (every time), and there's just too many other movies that'll be eating the market.
  3. No Wonder I thought the list was looking good, we were saving the bad ones for the top 10 Hunger Games isn't even a good movie, come on. Skyfall's the best of those five and even it's pretty dang overrated.
  4. This summer's box office looks a bit muted, but this holiday season and next summer is loaded with big potential hits. Not to forget that March this year was killer. I wouldn't worry too much, it's just how scheduling worked out.

  6. The Wachowski's have one really good movie, a couple decent ones and the rest are trash.
  7. Yeah I just want them to combine to make 40m DOM. I knew once Week 0 happened that Snatched was poor choice for #15, I was just trying to convince myself to keep it so I wouldn't lose my Week 0 points. Still may have been a wise choice, as if I had just picked another movie that wouldn't make the top 15 it would have resulted in more lost points.
  8. It's okay. You'll have your big comeback when Dunkirk opens to 213m
  9. Im not saying there aren't others who aren't fans. What I'm saying is she has a vitriolic "hater base" that's devoted to trashing her stuff. Look at Ghostbusters, this, etc. It's not just Schumer, it's a lot of others that also display the Schumer brand of feminism. There's a large enough population of Internet dwellers, who are fairly uniform, that they'll scew a lot of online metric if they decide to go after something or want to get something trending. Im not saying that Snatched is going to be a gangbuster hit. In fact, I'm thinking 85-90m is looking like the cap now. And I'm also not saying it's going to be well-received, because it does appear to be legitimately bad. But I think the audience scores and such aren't going to accurately reflect the actual WoM.
  10. It's that she's very confident in her appearance, and the internet lurkers don't like that. It's as simple as that.
  11. I wouldn't say I'd expect a lot of these recent movies to be on a list, but they're certainly not as odd of choices as some earlier ones. Pretty sure Deadpool or La La Land were the most eye-opening on mine. Maybe Rocky Horror?
  12. Yeah, the interbro (4chan, Reddit, trolls, etc) crowd hates schumer with a passion. Not saying the movie is going to be loved by audiences, but the people giving it thre bad audience scores are not the target audience at all.
  13. I think it could match GOTG second weekend drop. No TMNT as competition and it's in May before summer weekdays, plus WoM seems strong. 54-57% drop seems about right.

  15. Dont insult Villeneuve by comparing him to Nolan, he surpassed Nolan a long time ago.
  16. Wow, I used to make fun of Ethan for saying Villeneuve blew his balls off, but that trailer makes me understand. Hail Villeneuve!
