  1. It hasn't really followed ROTK so far. And I'm not expecting an Avatar like drop, but I don't think a sizable drop is happening until the week after New Years. Theres no new releases to compete with and take screens, and we're coming off of a second weekend not an opening one.
  2. I think McKay is getting in, I'll wait till the DGA to be certain though.
  3. Why a 50m drop? This weekend was a sub 40% drop off a weekend including 55.7m worth of previews. That's incredibly impressive. Even with a bigger drop on Sunday, I see no reason why next weekend is less than 100m
  4. Disney's estimates are probably on the low end if last weekend says anything about it. I could see an increase to 155-156m or so. A solid second weekend.
  5. Catching Fire = Solid Film Hunger Games = Meh Film Mockingjay Part 2 and 3 = Trash Films
  6. Also, before anyone cries, these are honestly great numbers. Avatar held so well the first weekend partially because of a snowstorm that moved a lot of opening weekend business to Christmas weekend. Star Wars is coming off an OW over 3x the size of Avatars. Realistically, numbers can only get so big, especially with 5 new wide releases eating up showtimes. 150-160m 2nd Weekend is better than all but the very highest of openers can do on their OW. That also puts a 100m+ 3rd weekend in the cards. That's huge.
  7. Wait so is 58-59m not the real number? See, this is what happens when you allow members to impersonate the Box Office god. He gets angry and spites everyone with teases.
  8. 119m OD, 247.9m OW, 49m Fri, 59m Sat... Lrn2fudge Disney
  9. They cause panic and disorder. Internet wise, it's the equivalent of disturbing the peace and slander.
  10. Impersonating or misquoting RTH should be against the forum rules.
  11. I'm so done with pretenders trying to give us fake RTH information. That is box office blasphemy.
  12. Many bothans died getting us this information.
  13. Star Wars could have the domestic record by over 500m and over 3b Domestic and Kal wouldnt give up. He'd say people were confused and thought they were going to see Avatar 2. He'll say the economic collapse hindered Avatar and it only made half the money it should have. He'll have some crazy excuse.
  14. It does look pretty funny, but I'm skeptical after Tammy. Should be a hit though.
  15. By how many millions would you say Avatar 2 is going to crush SW7 Domestically, oh all knowing Kal?
  16. Star Wars could be the #1 film by a 500m margin and somebody would still find it disappointing.
  17. If that were true, Harry Potter would be just as big as Star Wars...
  18. It'll be either 4 or 6. Depends on if a Memorial Day movie breaks out.
  19. I'm not going to hope for more, don't want to be disappointed by great numbers like I have before this week. 55-58m is fantastic.
