So if Spidey is still dropping close to 60% then I wouldn't expect the trend to be bucked next week with an even more direct competition film coming out, Maleficient and Million Ways will then be what seals the deal and sends Spidey sub-200

The film plays great to the casual audiences who wanted a good disaster movie, not so much to the people who wanted a Godzilla smash for 3 hours movie.

Except I'd expect sequels to fan driven movies to be more front loaded.

I'd say Godzilla is sentient, he arises to restore balance to nature, he has a goal and people and buildings just get in his way.Clover is a bit less intelligent but still very awesome.
