  1. When I saw Lone Survivor, a man took his 3 year old daughter in a little dress to go see it, despite her constantly running in and out of the theater she seemed fine and didn't distract anybody.
  2. Because she was high up on Films' list, and given that there were 64 contestants it got to the point were a number of the contestants only needed to be nominated by one person.
  3. Universal looks like they are going to get a lot of strong hits this year, but no blockbuster potential. 2015 looks like it could be a banner blockbuster year for them.
  4. It said on the front page of the thread you had till May 9th to get nominations in though.
  5. This saddens me, I can understand not knowing what Uncharted is but The Legend of Zelda is a classic franchise. I do find it funny that Regina George has more votes than Katniss, when Katniss vs. Indy would be a much closer fight than Rambo vs. Regina George.
  6. I just think it really depends year to year, Star Trek would make a different amount depending the movie that was before it, it definitely helped that nobody wanted to see XOW because of terrible WoM, similar to Neighbors with ASM2 (the target audience of neighbors is still part of the target demo for ASM2). If Neighbors had followed something like The Avengers, I don't know if we would be seeing a 50m opening. I really think the 50m opening instead of the projected 35ish is a testament to the unappealing nature of TASM2.
  7. EDIT: I take that back for Iron Man 2, inflation barely adds anything to it.
  8. Welcome to the first round of Battle of the Badasses! (BotB for short) You will have one week to vote and discuss on which character you think should win to advance onward in the Bracket, it is actually encourage that you discuss and argue over which character you think should go on. Here are each of the fights Fight 1 Fight 2 Fight 3 Fight 4 And now discuss and vote!
  9. Don't you mean 56%? Midnights don't count, obviously.
  10. That's true, I don't think cinemascore plays much relevance at all, I think there are better ways to gage WoM.
  11. Wolf of Wall Street had great legs despite the awful cinemascore. Lone Survivor got an A+, it had typical legs. Etc. The thing about Cinemascores (especially with movies such as a crude comedy aimed at a specific target of people) is that they have a very small and select survey pool, it isn't a big enough variety to tell much.
  12. I think we have clarified by now that Cinemascores don't mean anything.
  13. Alright, here is the full list of nominees Here is also the link to the current bracket http://betterbracketmaker.com/#!/50ddd6aead635 As for the stadiums they are First round will begin sometime Saturday and last a week, it will be one thread with four separate polls in it.
  14. If you offer it to two people for 100 points, then it's 100 points each unless you state otherwise.
