I have no idea. I am not an expert on Chinese grosses. I just say what I see and hope it does well. $30m is all I'm expecting, so I have a feeling that I will be pleasantly surprised.

If it was 2 years ago, it would be about $4m in gross. Not sure what it would be now, but it can't be too far away from that.

Four more days and it has decreased in gross? I understand that the THR $7m gross could have been off, but off by 300k PLUS 4 more days of grosses? No chance it was off by that much. Variety always have weird totals and dates for those totals. What was the date on the Screen Daily $6.8m?

Well 425k in admissions will obliterate TE1's total. We should be in for a nice $ total and admissions total.

Hmmm. I'll wait to see what BOM shows on the update. But I could have sworn it was at $7m upto the 26th. Anyhow, how does Variety know what it made up until Aug 30th? I was under the impression that actuals were released once a week for a Friday-Sunday gross (and including the cume total).

Went to my local multiplex. Expendables 2 flyers everywhere. Grabbed me about 30 of them. :DI think the cinemas know this is going to do well. A bit of late promotion. No trailer yet though being shown in and outside the cinema. Hopefully start soon.

Yes, it can reach $4m, no worries. It'd have to drop 80% this weekend to miss out on $4m. Surely cinemas are open midweek in India too, so it's accumulated some since the $1.8m that we know of.

Does anybody happen to know where to find tables of historical exchange rates for US Dollars ($) to other currencies?I can't find any, only Yen. But I need many more...pretty much any other currency would do me good. If you know of any, please let me know. Mainly need 1980s, but 70s and 90s also welcome. Thanks

TE1 only made $1,258,992. TE2 only has to reach $5m to achieve that. Can it not do that after grossing $1.8m in only 3 days? Surely they don't die THAT quick..

It's leaving us in 5 days.So weird. I will only believe it when i see it happening.I will be seeing it this weekend now. Anybody got a dollar conversion for last weekends grosses yet? BOM seems to be taking forever to put one up this week and I'm wary of using Variety's because they have the gross for TE2 at $6.7m and that is to Aug 30 apparently. But it can't be because it made $7m upto Aug 26. Variety has a weird way of reporting.

That's brilliant. BOM has it at $1.8m. Should make 4-times what TE1 made. Yet another huge increase to make up for the disappointing UK and US runs. A lot still relies on China, though. If that can match and increase from TE1, then we're looking at big numbers.

Hey DeeCee, any news you get, let us know please. I don't know any sites for checking Australian box office apart from the one that updates once per week with actuals. If there are any that give a hint towards opening day etc. (like the daily updates we seem to get for China), please let us know.

Well I don't have a job at the moment, so yeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing with my days. I'm doing exactly what I did for TE1 and Zookeeper; not relying on BOM for updates.

Actuals? You're telling me that Brave sold exactly 56,000 tickets, The Bourne Legacy sold exactly 45,000 tickets and The Expendables 2 sold exactly 40,000 tickets? These are estimates. I guess Portugal doesn't get actuals immediately after the weekend then.
