Like Crazy Rich Asians!), so I went for both. Either way...yeah, why did they put this out in August?

  5. I've got faith in Beast as a nice summer ender with a decent 18/55 run, maybe even into the 60M range. There's always a market for these kinds of "man vs. animal" movies, especially if they have a name actor attached. The Shallows did 55M in the heart of summer with a similar premise and starpower, so why not this with zilch competition until Woman King?
  6. Just know there's an alternate universe where Guillermo still directed this. And you know that Hatbox was going to be played by Doug Jones. NEVER FORGET WHAT THEY TOOK FROM US

  8. Well there's historical fiction, which uses real-life backdrops and events to tell fictional stories. And key word there is still "fiction". OUATIH and 1917 use fictional characters to tell a fictional story, but they just so happen to feature real-life figures and/or events. In that respect, yeah they are original and not based on anything. They're original in the same way Titanic or The Patriot are original.
  9. It was nominated for Best Original Screenplay, unless you consider Sam Mendes' grandpa and his stories in the war as a source material I guess.
