Greta will probably also do a modest 4M. Movie/Date Monday Tuesday Captain Marvel 6,647 8,737 11 days 10 days Us 148 181 25 days 24 days From Day 17-Day 10 .38x of Black Panther (92.1M)
  2. Off-topic, but can we please stop bullying MovieMan for liking Green Book? He's not harming anybody and he's clearly not gonna change his mind at all. Just let him be Anyway, cool to see this getting a re-release. Probably the first time an animated movie has gotten a post-Oscars release like this.
  3. It's important to recognize that the data I have is still very incomplete and shouldn't be direct comparisons. The only Black Panther data I have is after the movie's premiere on the 30th. It also had a shorter presales window time compared to CM (BP had 39 days, CM 60). That complicates things a lot. But this is all that we got, and it's still important to recognize that's still a long ways away, and the gap between the two has been steadily decreasing from day to day.
  4. Alright, now I'm awake. Madea's a tough comp, because I don't have any good comedy sequels, or ones from established franchises, to work off of. But I guess considering What Men Want was a remake to a popular movie, I guess low 20s is gonna happen? As for Captain Marvel, From Day 17-Day 11 .343x of Black Panther Translates to $83M using BP's 4-Day, an improvement from the $79.6M from two days ago
  5. Honestly, it's not that hard. It's very clear who are the more problematic figures that try to instigate this kind of behavior. The Captain Marvel thread had people like Gamera and LaughingEvans using MRA speak, and were the main instigators to the Brie Larson debates. People like Pure Spirit were also citing conspiracy theories that Disney were the ones trolling it in order to boost awareness. Especially once the thread got locked, you would think the mods would decide to put a suspension on the people who started this stuff and made the thread a dumpster fire in the first place. But they didn't. Instead, they didn't even get a slap on the wrist, and were basically allowed to roam free. It's really not that hard to figure out who starts these problems.

But hey, the link above does have some historical data, so go nuts.
  7. Only 15 months between installments? I'm pretty sure only the Planes movies had a shorter gap between installments
  8. I feel like the Warner Bros. streaming service will do well too. HBO is supposed to be the centerpiece, which is already a good sign, and they're also likely gonna have a bunch of DC and Potter shows.
  9. By the way, Disney+ better give me something Kazaam-related. Movie, series, whatever. It's not like Shaq's doing anything outside of General commercials
  10. https://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=holmeswatson.htm Final run. Domestic Total Gross: $30,573,626 Off a 6.4M OD, it had a multiple of 4.75x. I looked at other Christmas Day openers, up until 2001, and H&W can proudly boast it only has the second-worst legs. Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem garnered a multiple of 4.39x. But yeah, the fact that 47 Ronin had better legs says a lot.
  11. Always love these. Black Panther, Into the Spider-Verse, and A Star is Born seem like near locks. Fallout also seems very likely. A Quiet Place will also be a hit with genre fans, while Crazy Rich Asians seems like something that will still have a good-sized audience. BlacKkKlansman will at least be popular with Spike Lee fans
  12. WB's streaming already got a leg up on Disney+ lol
  13. lol at lordmandeep trying to use me in his "progressives are dumb" argument
