  1. Tomorrow. I forget what time, but I believe sometime in the afternoon.
  2. Also of note from that DL article: Nutcracker: 27M (above the projections from a couple weeks ago) Nobody's Fool: mid-to-high teens Halloween: 17M (I have my doubts about that, but okay)
  3. It's one of the better tentpoles to come out this year. It would be a shame if other movies passed it.
  4. Anya Taylor-Joy is a queen, and if anything, I'm glad The Witch exists so she can become a future superstar. Blair Witch Project is also probably my favorite horror film (at least, from the little I've seen). Everything about it just clicks, and I can't see any other found footage film topping the effectiveness of that film. The ending especially is amazing and still creeps me out just thinking about it.
  5. I was watching the Defunctland Nickelodeon Hotel episode last night. Let's hope this is more successful lmao
  6. Still cracks me up Emmerich made Siskel and Ebert buffoonish politicians because he was so butthurt they didn't like his other movies.
  7. When you get a part in a new movie and you want people to be happy about it.
  8. Grinch feels more and more like it's falling into the Solo camp of "who asked for this?" Also, like Solo, the responses are dead whenever the trailer for this plays in the theater. Interestingly, both films are related to Ron Howard.
  9. I feel like a lot of us are underestimating Instant Family, even with all of the family movies out this holiday. The trailer plays well when I see it in the theater, and there's a decent market for this kind of family movie as the Daddy's Home films have proved. Seems like a good alternative to stuff like Ralph or Fantastic Beasts.
  10. I'm terrified of watching Nosferatu, because I feel like all I will think about while watching is Spongebob and I won't take it seriously lol
  11. Fun fact: I was reading some of the Christmas 2012 threads here a few hours ago (today's been very boring, don't judge me), and one of the threads had a multi-page discussion all about Tarantino's foot fetish.
  12. Old ladies aren't great, but teenagers are the worst. Seeing Love, Simon with a bunch of obnoxious 14 year olds is up there as one of the worst experiences I've had watching a movie. Into the Woods had the same problem with a group of teenage girls giggling and laughing to each other every time someone sang. I haven't gotten around to seeing Hate U Give, but I'm probably gonna see it on a weekday morning because I don't want to deal with that BS.
  13. The first Goosebumps dropped only 31% the weekend after Halloween, with Peanuts having an opening that will likely be bigger than Nutcracker. Even with the sequel having "Halloween" in the title, this will probably also have an okay drop.
