  1. The Deadline article mentions that they plan to start filming next year. Guess that's going to be the October 2020 movie Disney has set.
  2. To be fair for Vice's sake, late-breaking releases have missed AFI in the past. The Revenant and Hidden Figures didn't make the list IIRC. Although the more I think about it, I feel like AFI's list seems about right for our BP line-up. Take out First Reformed and Quiet Place, add in Roma, that's our category.
  3. There ain't anything coming out this week, so let's just look at this stuff instead. Movie/Day Monday Mortal Engines 81 The Mule 7 Spider-Verse 722 Mary Poppins 913 Aquaman 1263 Bumblebee 420
  4. You say that, but Charlie's Angels could be a very serious contender next year.
  5. Never really got the hype over him. Of course I didn't really love either of the Netflix movies he's in. Also I'm not a 14-year old girl. That probably plays a part.
  6. Y'all are giving out quality roasts on Valonqar, but um... We not gonna mention this? We aren't going to acknowledge what all three ladies have in common? His posts are usually yikes-tastic, but this is on another level.

  8. I love ATLA, but I feel like Mike and Bryan should move on and make something new and unrelated to the Avatar universe. Like I know that Korra ended like four years ago, but I feel like I've already gotten my fix with that world and characters. When Netflix announced they were doing the live-action Avatar show, I just kinda rolled my eyes. They're talented and creative guys, and I think they can deliver another amazing non-Avatar product. They shouldn't be straddled with doing the same thing again. Also live-action adaptations of cartoons are a dumb and bad idea

  10. Anyways, HOLY SHIT CHALABAE IS IN A WES ANDERSON PRODUCTION THIS WILL GET HIM HIS SECOND OSCAR (THE FIRST WILL BE FOR HIS UPCOMING ICONIQUE PORTRAYAL OF THEODORE "LAURIE" LAURENCE IN LITTLE WOMEN)
  11. Han...the article literally says "Contrary to prior reports, the movie is not a musical"
  12. Competition. Its fourth weekend had The Last Jedi making 220M, and to a lesser extent Ferdinand as a direct competitor. Then the following weekend had Jumanji and lost a third of its theaters. By comparison, Moana's fourth weekend only had Rogue One making 155M. The following weekend only had Sing and lost only a quarter of its theaters.
  13. Also of note, Free Solo crossed the $10M mark, meaning we've had four documentaries this year hit double digits. Even cooler is that it wasn't the D'Souza or Moore joints.
