  1. http://www.cinemablend.com/news/1692019/disneys-live-action-christopher-robin-has-cast-winnie-the-pooh-eeyore-and-more For Disney's live-action remake, Jim Cummings will continue to play Pooh, Alan Tudyk will play Tigger (Why Jim Cummings isn't also playing Tigger is something I don't really get, but whatever), and Brad Garrett will play Eeyore. Also @CJohn @grim22 @Squadron Leader Tele , the Goodbye Christopher Robin thread (w/ Gleeson and Robbie) and the Disney's WtP remake thread (w/ McGregor and Atwell) are still merged up together.

  3. http://digitalcinema.bydeluxe.com/site/dlxportal/docs/TrailMix_by_Deluxe-_WK_33_US_1.pdf Trailer drops this week.
  4. Releases on November 17, according to EW. Also, here's the trailer: Also, @CJohn @Squadron Leader Tele could y'all move this to the main forum?
  5. The Current War, according to my EW Fall Movie Preview mag is now releasing on November 24, Mary Magdalene's old date, with Mary not even getting a mention. Also, Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool has a release date on December 15 (unless that was already announced beforehand, which in that case, my bad) Also, Mudbound will release on November 17th.
  6. I got my EW today, and there are some interesting date changes. The Current War is now in Mary Magdalene's old slot, while Magdalene is nowhere to be seen. I guess the movie is getting #Weinsteined
  7. http://deadline.com/2017/08/kurt-sutter-chaos-walking-tom-holland-daisy-ridley-doug-liman-sci-fi-movie-lionsgate-1202145963/ Kurt Sutter joins the cast.
  8. I thought she dropped the Black Widow role because she was contracted to film Gulliver Travels and couldn't break from it.
  9. Alright then...how about Wild Wild West? It has a hint of infamy attached to it for its commercial and critical failure, in spite of everything seeming like it would be one of the biggest hits of the year.
  10. American Pie would be intersting. I'm pretty sure most insiders thought it wouldn't be the sleeper hit it was and I'm pretty sure it was the biggest high school movie since the John Hughes era.
  11. Hot take: Oscar bait is a really stupid name people use to denounce otherwise decent-to-great dramas or biopics in an attempt to sound above films made for "snooty elites," and I hate how it's used as a pejorative term, as if making a good movie that appeals to Academy voters and gives good directors and actors a chance to tell compelling and important stories is somehow a bad thing.
  12. Black Panther: $320M Aquaman: $305M Grinch: $280M Mary Poppins Returns: $245M Ready Player One: $210M Wrinkle in Time: $170M New Mutants: $130M Alita: $125M Rampage: $120M Meg: $100M Mortal Engines: $60M
  13. Also of note animation-wise, 1998 was the first year where non-Disney animated films became blockbusters, with both The Rugrats Movie and The Prince of Egypt grossing over $100M in the domestic box office. The success of both signaled animated movies could be successful without having the name of the most popular animation brand and helped usher in a new wave of animated movies. While Rugrats really only spawned a brief trend of animated features based on popular TV cartoons, like The Powerpuff Girls and Spongebob, Prince of Egypt helped put Dreamworks Animation on the map, a studio that later created an absolutely incredible hit streak of movies and in a way created every other non-Disney animation studio that's still running today. Without these movies, animation probably wouldn't be such the big moneymaker it is today, making Rugrats and Egypt low-key some of the most important works in animation history.
  14. Honestly, I don't even wanna watch this trailer. The 1 minute I got at Dunkirk gave me plenty to chew on, and I don't want the good stuff to be spoiled.
