  1. You're right. I thought the 2.3M excluded the Fandango preview. Take that 1.75M and remove the 580K from the OW and you would get Hustlers to 35M, but...I dunno, still not totally convinced yet.
  2. Rocketman did 25.7M off 2.3M previews, which would be about 28M if it follows that movie. WOM also seems to be good not great at the moment (75% on RT's Verified Aud. Score), so that's a bit more of an uphill battle for 30M+

  5. Song wasn't that great. 😕 But I mean it'll probably play on the radio for the next two months, so I guess it'll do its job marketing-wise?
  6. The song for the movie is premiering in about 90 minutes, so it'll probably be open in a couple hours.
  7. I actually got the trailer in front of IT: Chapter Two, and it looked pretty bad. Probably the funniest thing was the beginning of the trailer showcasing a bunch of random apps and their made-up version of Tinder, because they didn't have the rights, was called "Swipe Right." I rolled my eyes when that popped up.
  8. Hustlers Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report FINAL UPDATE Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 46 1,085 6,728 16.13% Total Showings Added Today: 2 Total Seats Added Today: 210 Total Seats Sold Today: 612 Comp 0.570x of Once Upon's final numbers (3.31M) 1.667x of Scary Stories' final numbers (3.88M) 1.545x of Good Boys' final numbers (3.24M) All the numbers are pointing to a comfortable range, and a very good one at that. I don't want to get people's hopes up, so I'll say these numbers are very optimistic for the time being. But if those kinds of numbers come true, something like 40M+ is very possible. Maybe even higher!
  9. I believe they might be launch titles there but not in the States. I don't know how the Disney-Netflix deal works, but maybe rights are different from country to country
  10. The Creed movies made a good amount of money on Thanksgiving weekend. So long as the movie's good (check!) and the marketing's strong (wait and see!), people will see something for adults on Thanksgiving.
  11. Haven't paid any attention to the sneaks, but the Downton Abbey sales for next Thursday are still very strong, so it might not impact things that much for OW. Will probably make it even more frontloaded than it probably will be
  12. Combination of a lot of things. Surveys, social media results, genre, reviews, prior films, whether from the same franchise or unrelated, etc. To my knowledge, I believe some trackers don't even look at presales to begin with.
  13. Obviously a 90M OW would be fantastic, but I'm hoping for 100M. It's the only non-Disney film that has a good chance at crossing the mark this year, and if not, then 2019 is the first year only one studio had a film hit 100M on its OW since 2004. Of course back then, 2004 only had one movie hit 100M, while this year will have...six.
  14. Hustlers Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-1 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 44 473 6,518 7.26% Total Showings Added Today: 2 Total Seats Added Today: 145 Total Seats Sold Today: 120 Comp 0.345x of Once Upon 1 day before release (2M) 1.683x of Scary Stories 1 day before release (3.92M) 2.489x of Good Boys 1 day before release (5.23M)
  15. Hustlers Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-2 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 42 353 6,373 5.54% Total Showings Added Today: 16 Total Seats Added Today: 2,848 Total Seats Sold Today: 81 Comp 0.384x of Once Upon 2 days before release (2.23M) 1.810x of Scary Stories 2 days before release (4.22M) 3.209x of Good Boys 2 days before release (6.74M) Hmm...this was a pretty lukewarm day. Most of the sales were from new theaters added, which is disappointing considering how strong it started. Of course, there could be reasons for this; with how strong Hustlers initially started, it probably already got a good chunk of its audience, and this is just course-correction. And even then, the comps are still quite high. But I really hope there's better results tomorrow and Thursday.
