Most theaters around me are putting those two in the same auditorium, theater drops will be ugly next weekend. Silence isn't even making $10M in total at this point even if it somehow surprises on Tuesday.
Most times I ever saw a movie in theater was the original Jurassic Park with a record of 5 times. Of course, that was a much different time when movies would play for much longer and when I didn't see anywhere nearly as many movies in theaters as I do now.
The story's probably overblown (who knows), but yeah, the damage is done. This movie's existence will be completely forgotten by the time Valentine's Day comes around.

In theaters: Silence (it's destined to finish with less than $8M at this point)
At home: Sing Street
