To me, the greatest example of "studio fudging" will always be when Tangled randomly shot up a bunch and crossed $200M several months after it came out on DVD. That was just sheer hilarity right there.
If it was at all possible, this is an even funnier movie industry controversy than the "Alone Yet Not Alone" Song nomination scandal at the Oscars earlier this year.
You all have to remember that the weekend the third movie opened was 4th of July weekend with the holiday falling on a Monday, so they didn't have to worry about "fudging" it over $100M since the 4-day weekend gave it a $100M+ opening minus the midweek bow since grosses were more spread out.
Wait a second, so Paramount is sticking to their guns saying that it did $100M exactly when it didn't? LOL Paramount, you are not too good at playing this "studio fudging" game.
