  1. Christopher Nolan: bringing out both the best and the worst in the Internet since 2008.
  2. I'm pretty sure you can talk freely about them in the sports section of the site, where all of this stuff belongs anyway.
  3. LOL at all these spoiler tags over the last page or so. There's a sports section of this site, ya know.
  4. Thoughts: Transformers 4 is obviously off from the previous films but that was expected. A $100M opening (yeah, sure) is still solid though for a third sequel that saw a complete cast overhaul. We'll see how it holds from here. 22 Jump Street has already outgrossed the first movie after only 17 days. How to Train Your Dragon 2 is definitely a disappointment at this point though, it might not even reach Kung Fu Panda 2's total. Think Like a Man Too dived but was pretty much expected given its niche appeal. Looks like it's gonna miss the first movie's total by a pretty considerable amount. Okay hold for Jersey Boys. Another strong hold for Maleficent, which has been the only movie to really develop legs this summer. Edge of Tomorrow unfortunately took a bit of a hit with the arrival of Transformers and will miss $100M. The Fault In Our Stars looks to top out with a superb $120M, while X-Men looks to at least crawl past $230M. Yay, go Chef! I hope it makes it close to $30M. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has unceremoniously passed $200M. Godzilla looks to hit it eventually. Strong limited debuts for Snowpiercer and Begin Again.
  5. I ended deciding to skip Transformers 4 because I figured I wouldn't like it after everything I've heard (and sure as hell didn't need to lose $11 to drown in boredom of watching big robots fight non-stop for nearly 3 hours).
  6. Yeah, it's been showing some really great staying power compared to everything else this summer. A very good performance all around.
  7. Yeah, there is no way it holds that well today, unless they find another outlandish reason to keep it above the mark.
  8. That was a given though after how abominable it did last weekend. All of the theaters around playing it last weekend either dropped it or cut it down to 1 showing a day.
  9. The iPic is perfect, the only drawback is...you can't really concentrate on the movie, due to the waiters coming to deliver you and others food during the movie. Best to go if it's a movie you've already seen.
  10. Oh cool. There's a theater close to me from a chain called iPic that's essentially the same exact thing.
  11. Meeeee tooooo! But it will never happen so I will continue to love the first movie to death.
  12. No, they didn't. Sure, Dragon 2 has been a bit of an underperformer (probably in part because of a rather lazy marketing campaign itself), but otherwise, they've done their best.
