Watched Boogie Nights projected on 35mm. Couldn't stand the PTA films I've seen but I try to watch any film that comes to my town on film reel. Very pleasantly surprised, I thought it was great. Was really engaged by it, the performances are great, I love the framing and the way the camera moves around. The violent climax really quite shocked me but was very satisfying. I was also surprised by how funny it is, and it just gets funnier and funnier as the film progresses. Everyone in the audience was laughing. Think I will give PTA another go and check out some of his other films

The new Star Wars films are far more diverse than Black Panther. Main character is a female, the two secondary leads are black & south american "latino", plus other supporting mexican, black, women actors. There's also an age difference in the cast of 41 years, compared to 35 years in Black Panther.

I don't mean cutting down on having fun. Like when people say "oh you should go out less", like wtf? That's what money is there for. But for example if you buy drinks, you could buy cheaper drinks? If you go out for a meal you could go to a cheaper restaurant? etc. What do you spend your money on when you are living with your parents?
