  1. How is it going to miss 235M in China? You are talking out of your arse. It is going to finish the weekend with nearly 200M, it would have to make literally nothing after that to miss 235 or 250.
  2. what? you know there is only one other lock for 700M you know? Rogue One, nothing else is locked in the slightest.
  3. Armour on... power up... let's do this.
  4. NYSM is understandable. On a creative side maybe it doesn't make sense (although the end of the first one clearly set up a sequel), but it made a ton of money and had super good legs, people liked it very much.
  5. Oh my bad, I assumed it was animated. Also I'm pretty sure it was confirmed a while ago that Bad Boys 3 will not feature Will Smith. i could be wrong tho.
  6. I don't mean they will flop, I just mean that they will all be "disappointments" in some way and will drop from their previous movies. Of course most of them will turn profit
  7. I wouldn't bet on it, it will likely drop from Minions since that dropped from the second one. it will obvs do very well but 300M is not guaranteed. only thing it really has going for it is the lack of other animation.
  8. who really gives a rat's ass, it's just an arbitrary ranking. I remember last year when Inside Out was slaughtering everything but because Paper Towns had like 9 days of previews, it beat IO despite actually being 5th or some shit. It doesn't really matter either way. Yes it is a bit silly but why do we need to focus on the opening weekend? movies open all sorts of days. idk if you are in the UK but most big-budget movies do not open on a Friday here. especially when it's the holidays.
  9. isn't this just another of the billion different cheapo animated barbie movies that are straight to dvd? but this one is j getting a limited cinema release?
  10. In which case it would still make $300M and be the #1 movie of the summer... not sure what your point is.
  11. The only really safe one is Guardians of the Galaxy - it's coming off a VERY well liked first movie, it's got breathing space after its release date, and it's the first big movie in a month (since Fast 8 at start of April). Spider-Man, Pirates and Transformers franchises have been on a consistent downwards spiral.
  12. Whoops I meant to cross that one out too. Regardless, The Mummy is still on that date.
  13. Everything's so low because there are just so many movies out that nothing can break out. I was just looking forward to next summer 2017 and the current schedule is just as bad... Week 1: Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 Week 3: Baywatch / Annabelle 2 / Nut Job 2 Week 4: Pirates 5 Week 5: Wonder Woman / Bad Boys 3 / Captain Underpants Week 6: The Mummy / World War ZZ / Ascendant Week 7: Kingsman 2 / Cars 3 Week 8: Transformers 5 Week 9: Despicable Me 3 / Uncharted Week 10: Spider-Man Week 11: Planet of the Apes Week 12: Dunkirk Week 13: Jumanji Week 14: Alien Covenant So everything is gonna disappoint next year too
  14. yeah, annoyingly the online version is locked I read it in the paper this morning
  15. Everyone needs to read Camilla Long's takedown of Me Before You. "feelbad amputee porn" lmao she fucking tears the movie to shreds.
  16. There is moderate action violence with martial arts kicks and blows, as well brief focus on the twirling of a large blade and a hockey stick blow to a character's crotch area. The emphasis is on action and fantasy and there is a lack of bloody detail. There is use of mild bad language (eg 'son of a bitch', 'ass', 'shit').
  17. High school kids can still have nephews and nieces you know. If you have a sibling who is much older than you who has kids
  18. The only 200-299M films this year will be Ghostbusters, Suicide Squad, Doctor Strange, and Assassin's Creed. Maybe Jason Bourne.
