  1. i agree that credits scene was dumb. They have the tracker in a sealed room with a ton of tech analysing it, and none of them seem to be aware of it?
  2. Bingeing the new Alan Partridge. This bit about corporal punishment is painfully funny, I haven't laughed like this in years.
  3. I'm listening to a Jon Hamm interview. He just claimed that Mad Men was the first TV show to treat a season as a whole story arc.
  4. oh yeah actually I did notice that one. I just looked up (i should have thought to look for a MCU wiki before!). Didn't realise there was Audis in civil war and it was in Black Panther. I have also seen TONS of Captain Marvel advertising for the website company Wix. I have seen far more Wix adverts featuring Captain Marvel, than actual adverts for Captain Marvel. However this wasn't in the film (i dont think)
  5. out of curiosity, what product placement is there in recent MCU films? I don't think I ever noticed any recently. Only one I can think of is Iron Man's Audi R8 and that was a little while ago.
  6. .... what MCU is a perfect example of paint by numbers collaborative movies without heart and soul. Not saying that is a bad thing but you just picked the worst example.
  7. but like. The entire cast with exception of Freeman, is white American or British, and Maggie G is the only female. What diversity are you referring to? The only diversity is age.
  8. reminds me of the Chris Pratt playing two characters in Lego Twovie, like are audience not supposed to realise who the character is?
  9. I also found it suuuupper confusing that Ben Mendelsohn played two characters... some things were hard enough to follow in this movie and having the same actor play two main roles did not help.
  10. If this info is accurate then I'm guessing WB, after the success of Wonder Woman and especially Aquaman, feel more confident in making money outside of their core stable of characters. Dropping Will Smith & Margot Robbie if they can still make just as much money... then that's a great move.
  11. Nah, I don't see that. Its not like the golden globes where everyone collectively agrees on the winners, it's a private ballot vote (right...?) so how someone votes will simply be down to what they liked the most. I highly doubt many Academy voters care what other people think of their vote, as the vote is anonymous. This is why the Oscars never seems to change, because well the Academy doesn't. It doesnt respond in its voting, to its criticism, because voters dont care about the criticism. imo
  12. so there is a Demi Lovato version of Let It Go, this is information I could have lived without. Thanks a bunch.
  13. well, when do cinemas usually put times up? Here is Monday before release.
  14. when the hell is this gonna get made. Production in 2022, release summer 2023? At least, I suppose, MCU films can be spaced wide apart now thanks to crossover in other films. Guardians can pop up in any MCU film marvel chooses, and I imagine that they will, more likely than any other character.
  15. The cat showed up and my mind was "Oh shit they've been followed", and sure enough a few seconds later the Ben Mendelsohn alien shows up so that confirmed it for me... guess I am a lunatic
  16. George lost no dignity at all. there is nothing undignified in selling toys for children and entertaining them. I have many fond memories of having fun with toy lightsabers, Lego, and other stuff and thankful to Lucas for providing good things in my childhood. Star Wars is not some high art that is not made for profit.
