Visually this will look great just like Snowhite and the huntsman did in the trailers. Then the movie came...yikes..then the director was caught with his pants down. I don't care about this thanks to the guy at helm. But I hope it does decent enough so that Fox can greenlit Cowboy Bebop and do a proper reboot of Dragonball and DBZ.

extremely dumb of them to spend so much. I love Denis and his films, but this is just not smart at all. The last time a sequel to a 20+ year old movie was made on similar budget with great marketing but still flopped was Tron 2. If they really think this will become some massive 600+ boxoffice hit then they are fooling themselves. Only Chris Nolan can do it because he is a brand name and his movies get over praised. Yes even Interstellar which doesn't deserve 70+ rt. More like sub 50.

Holy shit...the aliens and stuff look amaze balls...the acting looks iffy...but i have a feeling this will be a very fun popcorn sci-fi action adventure fantasy movie. Something that IDR failed to deliver. As far as boxoffice is concerned, I am still not sure it will do well. It has to make bulk of its money overseas. France has to deliver big time.

maybe you should have read more carefully. He has commitments to China and european countries to release that film around that time. If they release it earlier in North America and some countries then there might be piracy, which will kill its BO chances in Asia. I think both movies can co-exist, but July is very competitive with Spiderman, Apes 3, Dunkirk, Dark Tower all vying for audience money. This will have to rely on great marketing (doubtful) and very good reviews to do decently. I have faith in the visuals, cgi and world building, but not sure about story telling and all. Let's see.
