Hahaha...kate mara...no wonder the director didnt want her in fant4stic. She is wayyyyyy less talented than her sister.
But atleast she still has a career whereas the director..well...
Also, a lot of stuff that I saw in the trailers of Morgan remind me of quite a few scenes in fant4stic...won't be surprised if they reused some of the sets and props from that movie. Not a good debut for Luke Scott either critically or commercially. Better luck next time.
They are cheap trashy fun (Underworld is better than RE) that could have been so much more considering the potential shown in the first film of both franchises.
Yes. I was too lazy to explain all that. Still they have to replace her with someone equally exciting because only zombies and action won't cut it.
I would have liked these to be much closer to the video games, but the resident evil game franchise has evolved so much and moved beyond Racoon city. Re4 and beyond are great games but don't feel like RE game. And the next one is a massive departure.
So UW and RE end next year in January.. reboots? The female leads were the main attraction of these movies so unless they find someone equally worthy of replacing them I don't see the reboots spawning a franchise..
I posted a few times in this thread saying this will be the best sci-fi alien invasion flick of this year considering the source material. But to top all similar type of films dealing with heavy ideas...now that's something! Move away Nolan, we have a new GOD in town.
As for fox, hahahahahahaha...told you guys it been run by incompetent bunch...but thia is searchlight..they are smarter than the main studio..don't know how they fucked up.
Hollywood is weird. Giving work and protecting people with horrible and despicable history, but throwing directors under the bus or not giving work to those who couldn't deliver on a big studio film due to inexperience and studio interference. These studio execs can go to any length to save their jobs. Horrible. Hollywood is run by mafias and scum bags.
Breakout hit of the summer is Bad Moms. We have 1 female centric comedy that does it every year. This was the one destined to.
STB is a giant flop.
JB is doing pretty good as expected. People were starving for an old school action flick with a well known lead. Should be a good money maker as the production budget is only 120 million.
Next week is going to be exciting....expecting many records to tumble
I like Ang Lee's films, but Billy Lyn looks boring. It will get the support of critics though.
Is there a trailer out for Allied? Right now, this is the war flick to check out in November.
I think this is how November is for me
1. War - Hacksaw Bridge
2. Sci-fi - Arrival
3. Magic/powers - Dr Strange
4. Sports drama - Bleed for this
5. Comedy - Bad Santa 2
Looks amazing, but most critics and Hollywood will not embrace it because of obvious reasons. Majority will give it a cold reaction and shut it out completely from oscars.
