  1. Because it's got 7 parts instead of the symphony's 4? Here is some good late night saturday music apropo.
  2. Can you, please, be more specific. I don't want to be dragged through the whole symphony. Not tonight at least. I'm a bit drunk, and I am more in Village People mood.
  3. Did anyone else notice that one song from the soundtrack ("The Beast") is a plagiarism of the soundtrack of the Tripods in Spielbergs "War of the Worlds"? You can find the song on Spotify. Here is the sound of the tripods for comparison: https://youtu.be/6m-rsgHEDLk
  4. Those JW predictions we made in april...
  5. That is actually a not very weird statement from an oscars perspective. Best picture nominees: Forrest Gump -- B Shawshank -- B+ Pulp Fiction -- A+ 4 Weddings, 4 Funerals -- A Quiz Show -- A- But 1975 is probably the best Oscars year ever One Flew Over the CC nest -- A Nashville -- A- Jaws -- A Dogday Afternoon -- A Barry Lyndon -- A
  6. WB has, on paper, had a decent year. Of the total domestic gross 2015 WB has a 16% share (which of course should not be compared to the amazing 27% share of Universal). But one thing is for sure: if it was not for American Sniper the share would be down at maybe 12% which would be the worst year for WB in a long time.
  7. It is now on the top 50 WW gross list! It has passed the WW grosses of HP3 and Shrek 3!
  8. I think this will be fantastic. The reviews are very much "Steven Spielberg is sentimental and therefore this movie is sentimental crap with good direction". Stupid professional reviewers who dismissed Munich as well. He's only humane.
  9. And the 25+ers do not rush to movies like the 25>ers. What worries me is the meta- and rotten-score; people who are interested in this will surely look at them scores. And they just ain't good enough.
  10. True that. As of tomorrow year to date box office (domestic) will be close to 8,2billion -- that is 2,8b left to the 11b mark. Spectre (250), Star Wars (400), The Good Dino (250) and Mockingjay (350) will stand for almost half of those 2,8!
  11. 2015 might actually have a chance to become the first year to make it to the 11 Billion milestone domestic -- despite the awful second half of the summer.
  12. Biggest september ever. Ahead of 2011 with 3m. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/monthly/?chart=mtd&view=calendargross
  13. If you compare the weekend grosses in June/July 2002 to the weekends in June/July 2015 you will see that the summer of 2002 wasn't even half the roller coaster summer 2015 was. July was all down hill... Here are the numbers of every weekend 2002: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/?yr=2002&p=.htm
  14. If monday's gross is >$8m, then this september will most likely be the highest grossing september ever. 2015 box office is fun to follow again.
  15. People are gonna leave the theater during the credits... And i do not mean the end credits. Such a disaster...
  16. September needs 25m more to break 2011's september record (603m). Is that possible? Monday gross: 8m Tuesday gross: 10m Wednesday gross: 7m Is that too much?
  17. I hate boxoffice.com for predicting Everest to make 27m and then it turns out it doesn't even make half of that.
  18. You saved my day MinaTakla! I forgot about the germans! They sure liked Fifty Shades so why would they not like IO.
  19. Sadly it seems like the chinese government has decided that IO will not success in China. 800 may actually be dead.
  20. But was it personal? Did it feel like Scott was the only guy who could make this film, like Interstellar only could have been made by Nolan? Was it fresh like Prometheus?
