  1. April will, unfortunately, be one of the worst Aprils. May may be good. But summer releases look weak. It's all down hill after the first kiss.
  2. There should be a poll somewhere on this forum where one can see whether the members here are happy, angry, sad or bored by its box office performance. reading all posts makes one confused.
  3. Because he directed 300 a few years later which was a success and a semi-critical baby (and very entertaining -- not good -- but very entertaining). But it wasn't taken seriously enough (yes, I think Znyder wanted 300 to be regarded as a big, dark war drama), and thus he directed Watchmen. Watchmen wasn't a success and a critical darling, but for some reason WB keeps pushing him doing those dark and grim and boring CB-movies. Is it because of Nolan? Yes, probably. I think it would be very interesting to see a comedy directed by him. If he did a romantic comedy it would be his best picture.
  4. Lol. Sorry. I mean Sucker Punch. But yes, it would be Snyder's best. But as it is, it is PTA's worst.
  5. Or maybe it will look like something entertaining and not depressing, Bright colors, humor, and heroes that are true to their origins. Fights that don't last an hour. A movie in which you can see a wall and not be certain of whether it will be damaged or not.
  6. How big will the drops be next weekdays? Is everyone back in school or will the break affect the box office next week as well? I mean, it's easter for crying out loud.
  7. Yes, I see. UK release date is 3/25 and not 2/17 (which I thought it was). Japan release in April. 700m is pretty locked.
  8. If it hits the billion, will $700m WW be possible? Other markets don't look so good. $150m China, $250 domestic. $300 is a long way to go.
  9. Hail Caesar was very optimistic and fun. For once Coens seemed to care about the characters. 7/10
  10. The First Order strikes back Maybe The Force Snoozes if the backlash keeps growing.
  11. ROTS is a cinematic masterpiece. Don't think I've ever seen a so much over-the-topped film. The opening sequence breaks all the rules -- borderline action dramedy.

  15. The sad thing is that this will be the biggest thing ever domestic. Nothing can possibly overtake this after it crosses the $920+ mark. At least not for another 30 years of inflation. I hope I'm wrong and that cameron will prove me wrong, making a fantastic movie with avatar 2.
  16. Thus snow white is finally going down. 10 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Dis. $909,060,000 $184,925,486 1937^
  17. Conservative numbers should be 635m by thursday and 700m by sunday domestic? Overtaking avatar on thursday or friday next week?
