Captain Phasma was the best thing in this mess. She was fun, looking all Kate Upton in her armor but acting like John Travolta in Grease.

I think JJ was afraid of Redlettermedia. Therefore we never have those wonderful scenes where they are standing and talking, walking and talking, sitting and talking. Because scenes where two people are standing and talking in a Star Wars scene is a bad Star Wars scene. You see what I mean? The fanboys won the war against George Lucas and all because of them we got this male genitalia of a movie.

There were trees everywhere. Never seen so many trees in a movie before. First tree planet: castle scene Second tree planet: rebel base Third tree planet: starkiller Fourth tree planet: Luke's hiding place I dreamed about trees last night. And woke up depressed.

One has to wonder if the resistance and the first order has planted trees and lawns on every planet after the death of emperor. Cause if I remember right it seemed to me like naboo, yavin IV, and Endor were the only places where you actually could live out the farmville dream. Now the galaxys all green and blue (save for jakku). Hooray for practical effects and real environments. It's like seeing the earth!

Like the fact that they took down the starkiller base just as easy as it is to eating a big mac and coke while driving your car. Have they kept building those stations every other five years?

Was that the capital? lol Yes, those descending and ascending shots (which there were tons of in AOTC) were indeed missing. They were awesome and really established the state of the galaxy. Those shots were truly relevant to the overall flow of the older films. In this one they just suddenly are in one place before even going there. And the ways the characters were presented in this new one is also very confusing. Remember meeting all these cool characters Darth, Leia, and Luke through C3PO and R2D2? In this one the characters are presented very randomly. We don't get to know people through the eyes of other people.

Alright I guess. But I truly miss George Lucas now. He took the time to establish his different worlds. You could see a descent last for like 30 seconds. In this one? 5 seconds. Maybe less. Remember when the x-wings attacked the death star in A New Hope or when Obi-Wan landed on Kamino? It took those fighters a good minute before the attack really began? In this one? -- "The Rebels are comin!"/Bang! No tension. And I miss all that jumbo-dumbo about the force and dysfunctional families. The time they took to sit and straight things out about what happened between the films. Yes, more films will be coming -- and lots of them! Answers there will be. But this, unlike the other six, doesn't quite work on its own terms. It is like Disney has turned Star Wars into a stupid TV-show. What else? Yeah... Remember how smoothly characters were presented in the old films (yes, even those from 1999, 2002, and 2005)? You know 3PO and R2 seeing Darth Vader enter the scene and meeting Luke Skywalker before the film changes its perspective from 3PO's and R2's point of view to be seen from Luke's perspective in the Cantina scene? Or how the galaxy evolved in TPM? In this one? Here the characters are so randomly presented that the movie becomes such an inconsistent mess. But whats good then? Han Solo delivers! D+
