This movie turning out good and, especially with negative reaction to choice of director and trailer, winning over Trek fans will be biggest surprise of the summer.
Just watched it. Fun, but forgettable. It was not the thrill ride I expected, but there were some tense moments where I was on the edge of my seat (especially last 20 minutes). I enjoyed some beautiful overhead shots of the ocean. Blake Lively's acting was good enough to carry the entire movie by herself, but I wouldn't say it was top-level performance.
And that seagull...
Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington Whiteley please. I want to see them running through falling debris and explosion behind them in slow motion. And then they stand together while camera circles around them, and Megan says "let's make out."
Just got back from The Wailing. I am surprised this movie is having a rather long theatrical run.
I enjoyed the movie although it had some flaws. The last 20 minutes were one of the most nail-biting moments I had in theaters.
